Begin as soon as you’re ready with one of Illinois Tech’s six start dates and performance-based admissions, which doesn’t require you to pull together application materials like entrance test scores and letters of recommendation. As this is a bachelor's degree completion program, learners will have to show proof of 61 transferrable credits prior to being admitted into the program. Short on your 61 credits? Prior learning credit might be an option!
If you’ve completed one or more of the following programs on Coursera, you may be able to earn up to nine credits toward the core curriculum for this degree, which can help you lower the cost and earn your degree faster based on the number of credits approved upon enrollment.¹
Additionally, Illinois Tech will allow you to transfer up to nine credits toward the required 61 transferable credits, with any of the below approved Professional Certificates. All Certificates below are worth three credits, meaning you can transfer up to three Certificates to earn the maximum nine allowed credits.
Interested? Between the rigorous in-demand curriculum and advanced skills development, you’ll be well-prepared to take your IT career to the next level. After you complete the certificates, Illinois Tech will conduct a transfer credit evaluation for the certificates you completed. You can take these certificates at any time during the program, and the credits will transfer accordingly. Please note that an additional exam may be required for certain certificates.
*These programs will require a credit by proficiency exam that will focus on the key skills covered in the certificate.

¹Each university determines the number of prior learning credits that may count toward the degree requirements according to institutional policies. Credit for prior learning is awarded at the time of successful completion of performance-based admissions and formal acceptance into the university. Tuition is $18,000 for the full 127-credit bachelor’s degree.
