Bio

Dr. Mendez is a Professor in the Department of Health Management and Policy at the University of Michigan School of Public Health and a Principal Investigator for the Center for the Assessment of Tobacco Regulations [CAsToR]. His research focuses on modeling the public health impact of potential tobacco and nicotine product regulations, including nicotine reduction in cigarettes and a ban on menthol cigarettes. His research also explores trends and implications of cigarette smoking cessation and switching to e-cigarettes.
