I'm a professor of finance at the University of Chicago Booth School of business. I've been at the University of Chicago my entire professional life, since getting my PhD from the University of California at Berkeley in 1986.
I do research in asset pricing and monetary economics. You can find my full professional bio
here, and a detailed cv
here. My
website is the best place to find out about me or to find anything I've written. I also write the "
Grumpy Economist" blog which you might find entertaining, and which often touches on financial issues related to this class. In my free time (?) I
fly gliders and windsurf.
