Joyce Tyldesley gained a BA in archaeology from the University of Liverpool and a D.Phil in Prehistoric Archaeology from Oxford University. She holds an honorary doctorate from The University of Bolton and is an Honorary Research Associate of The Manchester Museum. Joyce is the author of a series of best-selling books on ancient Egypt. Her most recent book, Tutankhamen’s Curse (published as Tutankhamen in the USA), was awarded the 2014 Felicia A. Holton Book Award by the Archaeological Institute of America. Joyce is currently a Senior Lecturer in Egyptology at The University of Manchester, where she teaches a suite of online Egyptology courses to students all over the world.
