Kalman Hazins is a part-time lecturer with the Engineering for Professionals program at the Johns Hopkins University. He earned his B.S. in Computer Science from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, in 2000 and then went on to earn a M.S. with Honors in Computer Science from the Johns Hopkins University in 2004. He has worked as a software developer for many years, most recently at the Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory, where he was a member of the Senior Professional Staff, and Envieta Systems, LLC, as a Senior Software Developer. Kalman enjoys teaching Computer Science and has taught courses spanning the topics of Java 2 Enterprise Edition, Ajax development, and Ruby on Rails. Kalman lives in Baltimore with his wife and four children.
