Shannon Brines, Lecturer, provides GIS, remote sensing, and spatial analysis-related workshops and consultations as the Environmental Spatial Analysis Laboratory manager, conducts sponsored research project work, and integrates changing technology. Brines teaches Field Remote Sensing; GIS for Natural Resource Applications; Python for Geospatial Data Science; and GPS and Geospatial Field Techniques. Brines has served as an applied geographer at UM since 1998. Outside of U-M, Brines owns Brines Farm LLC and is active with his local food system, conservation districts, and agroforestry working groups.
