Dr. Skerski has been teaching in the Department of Communication since 2011. Her research is at the intersection of gender and media and she strives to elevate critical thinking through the lens of sport. She is also the Associate Chair for Undergraduate Studies for the Department of Communication. She was a Division I softball player in college who majored in Communication and went on to earn her PhD at Indiana University. She is originally from Chicago, loves the Chicago Cubs, and USWNT and coaching her 8yo daughter's soccer team. She has a love/hate relationship with the NFL and fantasy football.
