Prof. Niemann is professor for the research and teaching area of industrial engineering with a focus on production in the Department of Mechanical and Process Engineering at Düsseldorf University of Applied Sciences since 2012. Special focus is on Life Cycle & Services Management of capital goods. Prof. Niemann is founder of the Life Cycle Excellence research center and managing director of the FMDauto research institute. Previously, he was head of the Life Cycle Services business unit at ABB Automation Deutschland GmbH.
