His research focus is on inequality in educational outcomes in primary, lower and upper secondary school, both in domestic projects and in international large-scale assessments (ILSA) applying advanced quantitative and mixed method designs. Other research interests are disadvantaged young people, transitions from school to work and early school leavers.
