Whether you're in a technical role wanting to learn more about the legal aspects of AI, or in a legal role wanting to learn more about the technical aspects of AI, this course is for you. By the end of the course, you will have a thorough understanding of AI, it's uses, and the contexts in which it will likely be implemented. We'll explore types of AI, machine learning, the AI development lifecycle, AI governance & risk management, the current and emerging legal landscape surrounding AI, as well as discussions and debates in the field. At the end of each module, an assessment will measure your understanding of the lessons presented. After completion, you should be able to describe foundational concepts of AI systems and their use cases, the impacts of AI, and responsible AI principles; explain how current and emerging laws apply to AI systems, and how major frameworks are capable of being responsibly governed; and detail the AI life cycle, the context in which AI risks are managed, and the implementation of responsible AI governance.

In this course, we'll break down AI and look at the basics of what it actually is, and how it works. We'll put it in context using an OECD framework, look at how it can be used, explore types of AI, and explain the technology behind it.
