After taking this course, I can see where & how I can apply my skills and love for numbers. I am confident in my decision and cant wait to put all the pieces together.

Thank you, Coursera & Intuit!

This course is so GOOD! I needed to brush up on my Bookkeeping Skills, and I am glad that I chose Coursera to help me do this. I love the Step by Step Lessons and the videos are AWESOME! Thank you!

There's little to nothing to read. Nearly all of the lessons force you to watch an unbearable, unlikeable, and obnoxious cartoon character. A simple downloadable PDF with the required information would have been more than enough to suffice. This course could be condensed to about a third of its present length and filled with more relevant material. We're adult learners, not 5 year olds who need loud noises and distracting colors to keep us engaged.

The content of the course is good. It is easy to follow and to learn. I am disappointed that I am located in Canada and nowhere leading up to the first exam did it say I could not take it based on my location. As for the certification, I am not too upset about it. I would have liked to take the exam to see how I am progressing and if I understand the content. At bare minimum, allow the exam but don't issue a certification.

It's fantastic that you can audit this course for free to understand the basics of accounting and quickbooks; but be warned that the majority of the material is presented by an animated, supernanny-meets-accounting "tv series". I was really hoping for professional lectures, and I'm disappointed by the way the course is taught. Maybe this is just how the first course runs...we shall see.

Meh. Not really very hands-on or repetitive. For tactile learners, it is really lacking imo. Too many videos and cutesy stuff and not enough actual learning. Bianca is kind of rude and annoying. Quite a few incorrect terms and typos which could confuse others. I feel like I would learn more just by using QuickBooks and practicing. Don't really feel like I learned much.

The topic is interesting and made it clear enough, short videos which are good, but I feel like we are being talked to as if we were children and as I am not 4 years old anymore, I feel it is difficult to continue. They made the course simple and accessible but the way of speaking is not for me and I have to score down.

In my opinion, more detailed, hands on examples are necessary. At the end of "four weeks" I still struggled with the nuts and bolts of ledger and trial balance entries. There are little interactive lessons throughout, but these are extremely basic and didn't really prepare me for the more difficult exercise at the end.

Week 1 & Week 4 were interesting and had some take away from them. But overall a disappointing course as it's main focus is not to teach Bookkeeping Basics but to Advertise Intuit's Quickbooks. It's a waste of money. I did not sign up for this course to see advertisements but to learn about Accounting.

Learned a lot but the spreadsheets don't work so the final is very difficult because you don't just have to do the entries you have to make the spreadsheet formulas work too which is difficult since I barely know what I'm doing. If I had no other experince I would have not been able to finish.

When I get answers wrong in the quiz, it just tells me what the right answer should be without telling me why - that's a huge learning opportunity missed. A course that I'm paying for, should be utilizing that opportunity; it's what I'm paying for

There is some valuable information in here but you have to get through a very irritating cartoon to get it. The course (and learners) would be better served to get rid of the cartoon and the 'quirky' character and just teach the material.

I wish it gave more detail into how to place transactions into the right accounts and gave us more practice with processing transactions through the accounting cycle. I did the course and I don't feel very confident in what I learned.

Easy to understand assignments, but using Quickbooks isn't going to help when we have to do manually entry. More focus should be on manual entry methods and saving quickbook lessons for more advanced lessons.

I hated the graphics, the language and the practice. There was a maximum of 2 pages of notes from the whole course. Not much practice and understanding of a hands on approach. "expert" videos were horrible.

the course is good and you can go through it in a couple of days.

The bummer is that the Intuit Certificate is only accessible for people in the US and the additional 3 modules are not present on Coursera.

Lots and lots of videos. The videos were only somewhat helpful to my overall understanding of the content. I am someone that needs more hands on learning experiences without obvious correct answers.

It's terrible. Yes, you learn what a Bookkeeper does, etc. but you are basically taught by a cartoon. I still have a few days with my free trial so I'll try another course.

Sure they mention many things but didn't cover the basics well. I still don't know when to debit or credit an account and didn't get any of Lou's trial balance right.

The Class was very basic info. Little was explained on general ledger but a lot was on final test. Had to do side resources to fully understand some key parts.

Very confusing. 2nd week had a video that launched 5 terms and 7 equations at me and explained nothing. Needs to be slower and more detailed.

It was ok for the basics but it did not give me any real hands on training that I was wanting for learning more about quickbooks online.

I completed it up until the final page where the test was for American's only. As a Canadian I was unable to do this final step.

Some material is very hard to understand, the AI instructor has a very annoying voice, and she just isn't amusing at all.

Not enough practice and images can not be seen (too small). Also, need reference material that can be downloaded.

It would be helpful if this program provided examples on how to come up with the correct answers. T

Great for some people maybe, but this feels like a long commercial. It's unbearable.
