About the Course

Businesses run on data, and data offers little value without analytics. The ability to process data to make predictions about the behavior of individuals or markets, to diagnose systems or situations, or to prescribe actions for people or processes drives business today. Increasingly many businesses are striving to become “data-driven”, proactively relying more on cold hard information and sophisticated algorithms than upon the gut instinct or slow reactions of humans. This course will focus on understanding key analytics concepts and the breadth of analytic possibilities. Together, the class will explore dozens of real-world analytics problems and solutions across most major industries and business functions. The course will also touch on analytic technologies, architectures, and roles from business intelligence to data science, and from data warehouses to data lakes. And the course will wrap up with a discussion of analytics trends and futures....

It was new experience for me to learn something completely out of the box. The tutor helped me a lot in completing the assignments and quizes through his extended lecture videos.

Great course as a starter for beginners to learn about business analytics in a business setting. There are lots of content to grasp but it will make you knowledgeable in the field for a start. The only thing I have feedback to the instructor is sometimes in the video, he talks too fast and speeds up through the content.like reading off a script. Otherwise it is quite a nice course as an overview to BA.

It's a Very Good Course, I have really gained some typical knowledge of data analytics and job position related to it. The mentoring is a little fast but the examples (real-life situations) are really good. Thank you, Coursera for giving me the opportunity to learn.

Good course for someone seeking a beginner level understanding of customer analytics and how it is used by marketing and sales organizations to do descriptive, predictive and prescriptive analytics to identify prospective customers and improve sales performance.

Course was alright - lots of good information, but it would have been easier to just read it rather than watch the videos. The lectures don't really offer any insight - just a lot of (useful) vocabulary.

A good course that introduces us to the trends / organization roles etc. A few more real-life examples with the actual set up and organization of the data/analytics department would have helped more.
