About the Course

This is the #3 course in the specialization on management consulting. Management consultants excel at solving difficult and complex business problems. How do they do this? Shouldn’t clients know more about their situation than external consultants? Consultants are trained to systematically break down problems into logical pieces, then aggressively pursue answers with data: • Think about the problem broadly; strategy, operations, people, technology • Define the problem clearly; articulate “what does success look like?” • Break the problem into “buckets” so it is easy to understand • Use hypotheses to “guess” your way to the potential answer(s) • Find and clean up messy data; convert the data into useful recommendations...

As a "red airplane" :) it is perfect to see how to get the benefit from the experiences that we had after many years. Clear messages for all kind of audiences, it was really nice to have.

Great information. The professor is clear and engaging. He makes good use of examples to clarify what can be a complicated process. Good discussion prompts, although few people actually do them, which I found frustrating.

Easy to follow. The speed was a bit slow. Copy paste of text from e.g. Word into the final assignment didn't work well. I had to do lots of reformatting.

The course feels overly repetitive...I am done through 3 modules of the course and most of the stuff is basic stuff... I believe that the course could be cut down to a few points making it crisp and to the point.
