Great review for Cloud concepts that I needed. Probably would use it once I start studying for some AWS content since not many people use IBM but still a great way to get started in cloud computing.

For the vast majority of the course I was listening to robotic-sounding recitations of poorly-written texts. A ton of jargon is thrown at you at once without proper explanation. Any knowledge gained by someone like me, who has no experience in business or in the cloud, is vague and superficial. Too few concrete examples and too many abstract concepts explained in theory leave the innocent participant frustrated and helpless. There are not enough words to describe the pedagogical catastrophe that most of this course was. However, when actual professionals presented a topic, everything was so much clearer and more interesting. I appreciated those parts, but they were only a small fraction of the content.

Its basically a commercial for cloud computing, and they don't actually teach you much. The peer reviewed assignment is the only time you ever actually work with anything on the cloud which is good, but the other students will fail you for no reason at all.

Title: An In-Depth Analysis of Cloud Computing: Revolutionizing the Digital Landscape

Introduction:

Cloud computing has emerged as a groundbreaking technology that has revolutionized the way businesses and individuals store, manage, and access data. This review aims to provide a comprehensive overview of cloud computing, exploring its key concepts, benefits, challenges, and future prospects.

Key Concepts:

Cloud computing refers to the delivery of computing services, including storage, servers, databases, networking, software, and analytics, over the internet. It allows users to access and utilize these resources on-demand, without the need for physical infrastructure or hardware. The cloud is made up of multiple interconnected servers located in data centers worldwide, ensuring high availability and scalability.

Benefits of Cloud Computing:

1. Cost Efficiency: Cloud computing eliminates the need for upfront investments in hardware and software, reducing capital expenditure. Users pay for resources on a pay-as-you-go basis, allowing for scalability and cost optimization.

2. Flexibility and Scalability: Cloud services can be easily scaled up or down, depending on the changing needs of businesses. This flexibility enables organizations to adapt quickly to market demands and handle peak workloads efficiently.

3. Accessibility and Mobility: Cloud-based applications and data can be accessed from anywhere with an internet connection, enabling remote work and collaboration. This accessibility enhances productivity and streamlines business operations.

4. Data Security and Backup: Cloud service providers offer robust security measures, including data encryption, firewall protection, and regular backups. This ensures data integrity and protects against potential threats and disasters.

5. Innovation and Collaboration: Cloud platforms provide a conducive environment for innovation, allowing developers to leverage cutting-edge technologies such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, and big data analytics. Collaboration among teams is also enhanced through shared access to resources and real-time data.

Challenges of Cloud Computing:

1. Security and Privacy Concerns: Storing data in the cloud raises concerns about data breaches, unauthorized access, and data sovereignty. Organizations must carefully choose reputable cloud service providers and implement proper security protocols.

2. Dependence on Internet Connectivity: Cloud computing heavily relies on stable and high-speed internet connectivity. Downtime or disruptions in internet services can hinder access to cloud resources and impact business operations.

3. Vendor Lock-In: Migrating from one cloud service provider to another can be challenging due to differences in infrastructure, APIs, and data formats. Organizations need to carefully consider vendor lock-in risks and ensure portability of their applications and data.

Future Prospects:

Cloud computing is expected to continue its rapid growth and evolution, with several emerging trends shaping its future. These include:

1. Hybrid Cloud: Combining public and private clouds to leverage the benefits of both and achieve a balance between security and scalability.

2. Edge Computing: Processing and analyzing data closer to where it is generated, reducing latency and enabling real-time decision-making.

3. Serverless Computing: Abstracting infrastructure management further, allowing developers to focus solely on writing code and enabling more efficient resource utilization.

4. Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning Integration: Cloud platforms will increasingly integrate AI and ML capabilities, empowering businesses to extract valuable insights from vast amounts of data.

Conclusion:

Cloud computing has transformed the digital landscape, offering numerous benefits to businesses and individuals alike. While challenges exist, proper planning, security measures, and vendor selection can mitigate risks. As the technology continues to evolve, cloud computing is poised to play a pivotal role in driving innovation, collaboration, and digital transformation across industries.

Superb course. I was super excited for it at first, then got a little discouraged by the quality of some videos (voiceover not following the video, inconsistent volume), then got excited again. All in all, it's a fantastically structured course. I can't believe that you can finish a course over the weekend and really get an understanding of the fundamental concepts of cloud computing.

And the course isn't just about cloud computing! I see it as more of an introduction to digital transformation of modern businesses. After initial doubts and hesitation about my choice of IBM's professional certificate, I'm actually really, really happy now that I finished the first course in the series.

The course content is excellent. One area that HAS to be improved right away is to have better oversight of the peer-grading process by the moderators. Relying on only peer-feedback to pass or fail undermines the otherwise excellent quality of the course. An incorrect peer grade of fail on the final assignment creates unnecessary repeated work for students. Issuing of a passing certificate via the gate of a peer-feedback on the final assignment, as well, has to be better controlled, so as to not dilute the value of the educational certificate. At the same time the moderators were quick in responding to my concern of an incorrect peer-feedback.

Great course and great learning content. I do wish that the assignment would be updated to meet the cirriculum of the IBM cloud storage website and account creation. There were some unexpected problems I ran into such as false flag spam emails (which were my personal emails no less) and also the issue of linking the exact assignment tasks. Otherwise the learning content that this course provided was very well done. I learned a lot about cloud storage and how it is working in professional environments. Cybersecurity is something I wanted to understand at a greater level and this is the introductory course to start mastering this field.

This is best course for those who curious about how internet things and cloud storage work . if you don't have prior knowledge in cs you may have face some difficulity during this course, after some time you will grab those things from your hard work then everything will be going smothly. A small correction, I have completed this course before 30days of course time and I'm not a computer science student but I have spirit to know how computer scince and internet things work. That spirit gave me 100% grade in this Introduction to Cloud Computing course. In the future, I will aquire more skills in this feild.

I have understand the cloud computing for each and every lecture videos. I answer a question about cloud computing by using my own knowledge and information, as well as the web search results that I can access through my predefined internal tools. I try to provide accurate, relevant, and clear information that matches the user’s query. I also use markdown elements to format my response and make it more readable. I do not reveal the names or details of my internal tools, as they are only for my use. I hope this helps you understand how I work.
