I really enjoyed this course. I liked the professor's teaching style as well as the materials the course provided. All the knowledge I've got from the course helps me when I do research online.

Though I learnt a few new things. But I expected something in line with the current technology. I am a bit unsatisfied with the lecture design and the readings

There's a too long list of texts to read while the videos are too short and redundant. I felt as if I was just reading texts that some friend has sent me...

The course material is outdated. Although new learners will get some idea about basics, it is nowhere close to updated as per 2020!

It's a good course at the content level, but too theoretical. It might be nice to introduce hands-on phases along the course.

This course could use more case studies and assignments. And the reading material all cost additional money to access.

I am not very clear on the objective of the course, I also find it ambiguous in terms of what its trying to achieve.

It's a very introductory class, only works for newbies of digital marketing.

Maybe it's a good start point.

The information is presented unevenly, in torn chunks, and often without examples. The instructor simply reads out information from slides without a prepared speech, which confuses the learner. The information on the slides is mostly outdated. Recommended books to read (especially the instructor's own books) are behind the paywall. Quizzes often contain questions that are not addressed in the presentations themselves or in the accompanying books. Moreover, the questions themselves are often confusing, as if the questions, videos, and readings were composed by three different people. Perhaps the course instructor is an excellent independent speaker and a great analyst. But he is a terrible instructor. The maximum rating for the course is 3 stars. I give it a 1 for my personal experience. I did not take Honors Assignment, so I can't vouch for that part of the course, but most likely there are "think and write" questions. Thanks, not interested. If you want a certificate and you already have experience in marketing, you won't learn anything new here. Run through the quizzes and move on. Don't waste your time on this one.

I will NOT recommended this course to any one! Well, thats all theory indeed. Actually my personal opinion is that the first 2 week lessons could be compressed into 3-5 days of learning, to do their justice. They are about history of analytics that could be read and known but not necessary to be learnt so thoroughly. For the last 2 weeks lesson, I quite enjoyed the slides and illustrations. However its so disappointing not to see new emerging channels such as Tiktok mentioned in such a digital marketing course. I hope the course could be more up to date every now and then, because digital marketing landscape evolve quite quickly these days. Marketers miss out on these new updates would lack an advantage. Thank you!

I chose to do this specialization after reading the names and descriptions of this and the subsequent course (DM Analytics in Practise). I am halfway through the latter and I must say that I am thoroughly disappointed. My hope was that I would learn the actual practical implementation of things and gain deeper insights into the services that I am trying to provide. I can't see how these courses have improved my ability to get a job or provide DM good services to clients. If someone can show it to me, I will be thankful.

I found the course very superficial, with very little to take away.

Also questionable that the professor recommends reading (buying on amazon) the book he wrote.

On the positive side: the course is rather quick to complete
