In this 1.5-hour, project-based course, you will step into the role of a product innovation leader at EcoTech, a company dedicated to tackling environmental challenges with technology. Your task is to lead a brainstorming session to develop a smart waste-sorting bin that aims to reduce landfill waste and enhance recycling accuracy. To facilitate this process, you and your team will use Miro, an interactive, collaborative platform perfect for ideation and planning.
Throughout this guided project, you will learn how to set up and use Miro to conduct a structured product innovation session. We will guide you through creating a dynamic brainstorming board using various Miro templates and tools. You'll explore techniques like Mind Mapping, Crazy 8's, SCAMPER, and SWOT Analysis to generate, refine, and evaluate innovative ideas for the smart bin concept. This course is designed for learners interested in product innovation and digital collaboration tools. No prior experience with Miro is required, and any computer user familiar with basic online tools will be able to successfully complete the project.
In a video that plays in a split-screen with your work area, your instructor will walk you through these steps:
Task 1: Set up your Miro board
Task 2: Generate a Mind Map with AI
Task 3: Crazy Eights
Practice: Demonstrate use of templates and AI
Task 4: Refine ideas with SCAMPER
Task 5: Organize and prioritize ideas
