Great course! Good start for any IT career. I love the fact that there are no pre-requisites required to enroll. Not even a high school diploma needed just your willingness to learn. Thank you Google!

Technical support fundamentals provide very much of important knowledge required for a career aspirant who wants be successful in IT support field. Despite being the 1st course among the others, it still covers lot of important topics required for a candidate to improve and nourish his/her skills and knowledge on IT. I'm really satisfied with the course and as refresher I'll refer most of the topics in this course again.

For me, as a person who have a previous idea about IT, this course was easy in the hardware, software and programming sections. However, it was difficult to learn and understand network and memorizing the special protocols and how it works, as it was the first time I heard about it in my life. As for Troubleshooting, it was really useful not only in terms of information technology but in all other professional fields.

All of the material has been put together very well. I enjoyed the lessons were broken up into small chunks of time. I especially enjoyed the introduction to VM & Linux. The last section on interview skills and the elevator pitch was one of the best parts of the course. Thank you for all the great instructors in this course and for making the information so relatable and easy to learn. Looking forward to my next course.

such great information and knowledge to gain at a basic level that it reinforces any information that you've learned before. I dabbled in IT before I even knew it was reffered to as IT. But with this course I was able to cement myself in the basics and history of what really is Information Technology and gained plenty of information on what it stands for and what it truly means to understand it in it's barebones aspect.

This course has been very informative. Becoming an IT support specialist can be exciting and rewarding. The chapter on Troubleshooting is very helpful. Documentation seems to be an important practice. It is often difficult to see how critical it might be. The system used for documentation needs to be carefully selected and strictly adhered to. New techs should be trained on how to use the system and how important it is.

The Fundamentals course is very good and well put together! IT touches base on a little bit of everything else that you will learn on your way to the Technical Support Certificate. It is designed for everyone, whether you have little to no experience or are taking a refresher. For me the hardest to get through was the Customer Service section. I am very much looking forward to the rest of the courses in the certificate.

I am so proud of myself that I completed the 1st of 5 Technical Support Fundamental Courses with a 100% score and finished on time. It was very challenging for me to read carefully, follow instructions with comment sense, don't give up attitude with frustrations. It was worth to receive this Certificate of completion. While the technical information is known to me I learned a lot of useful stuff about how to handle customers, how to narrow down a technical problem for good troubleshooting skills and also what I need to do to prepare for the encounter with my potential employer.
I know this course is barely scratching the surface of the IT support personnel's knowledge and skills. So I can't wait for the next course. Let's go Google.

all binary nubers can be looked up, need to go to next section
from the terminal istaliing and removing programs in the virtual lab does not work
command sudo apt install firefox get error message no candidate
and when it did run error broken files ------it should have been as easy as windows install and removal.
last projject for linux install broken in vm install for firefox did not allow a work around

This is a great course to not only brush up on your tech skills, but to broaden your knowledge. Don't be swayed by the word fundamentals, as if you're already going to know everything. I can almost guarantee you that there is something in this course that will be new for you. I loved learning binary and realized I am great at math. I loved building a computer and gained self confidence. I highly recommend this course.

Lo más interesante que aprendí en este curso fue todo sobre redes y sistemas operativos. Al mismo tiempo, cómo trabajar, retener, ayudar e involucrar a los clientes.
Tuve que prestar más atención en las semanas 5 y 6 pero realmente puedo entender todo. Y, por supuesto, quiero seguir tomando otros cursos de Certificado Profesional de Soporte de TI. Para mí, este es el comienzo de un hermoso mundo nuevo de conocimientos.

The first course is a very good introduction into IT. It outlines all of the relevant topics that will be discussed in future courses in a way that is easy to understand. It is also not intimidating, although the thought of some of the later courses makes me feel anxious. I am still 100 percent committed to learning this because I want to know more about computers and how they work. Thank you for offering this course.

As someone coming from a very limited IT background this course made the information easy to learn process and apply. The course is presented in a very easy to follow format and the provided reading material provided ample information to help me learn. Further the interactive labs allowed me to practice what I was learning in a controlled environment. I'm really looking forward to the other Courses in this program.

From an agricultural background, when I started this course, I thought I wouldn't be able to even understand this course. But all the isntructors put so much of their efficiency in training us that with every new lesson my interest grew to a next level and I understood each and every point the instructor was explaining. I am hopeful I will complete the whole course of Google IT expert and try to find a career in IT.

One of the best courses out there and I would recommend it to anyone to take it. Even if it catches your attention, do yourself a favor and just take the course. This course provides a very informative and broad scope of what IT is about and you will learn A LOT! The troubleshooting module covers general skills that can be applied at any customer service job. This course is highly beneficial for anyone who takes it.

As someone with a couple learning disorders, but mostly auditory processing issues- the first thing I noticed was the subtext underneath the videos. I also love that you can rewind if you missed, or simply misunderstood what was said and want clarification.
The pace of the course was perfect for someone pretty new to tech support like myself, and the concepts were broken down really well too. Definitely recommending.

This is my first course for getting started with IT, and I think I have benefited a lot. This course has laid a lot of foundation for me, and also stimulated more interest to learn more. There are many practical parts, such as remote operation homework, and the course about interview skills and preparation, which are very helpful for me. I would recommend this class to anyone who wants to understand the basics of IT!

This course helps to structure my earlier on-the-job training and IT Support work experience (where the company do not have one), and well-equip me for the next career challenge and development. I found that, this course is really a great combination to blend into where the earlier job provide the actual work situation, and this course helps to filling up the missing part (structure training program for new hire)!

I love these courses. You can learn at your own pace and if you need to, you can pause and go back to where you left off. Due to the pandemic, I had to pause my courses in order to work more (essential business) and when I finally got to come back to it, the subscription was even cheaper than before. Which is great because I since then had switched jobs and wasn't making as much as when I first started the courses.

Concise and covers all the basics. Some of the questions could be worded a little better but on the whole the course content explains things in a clear manner. The save notes feature is very handy to use to highlight and call out text that you want to remember. It does not matter if you have none, some or a quite a bit of knowledge about I.T. there is probably something here that will be of interest or new to you.

Overall, this course was exceptional at teaching the basic fundamentals in so many aspects. From how to build a computer and what it's components are, to how to handle a multitude of different customer service interactions, even to how to build your resume and interview for a position. This course has definitely taught me a lot of different skills and I will likely come back to this course to go over these skills.

This is a good course seeing the fundamentals taught other corporate don't include this content they more in a cut and paste phase , this training helped me understand the basics of IT in a whole from networking , hardware and software and communication skills when in the field as companies inspect to hire a great employee and Google has given direction and a passion to continue learning and growing in the field

For the 6 week course for the Technical Support Fundamentals, I can say that I really learn a lot. From the history of the computer until becoming a successful IT Support. They will teach you step by step and It really gives opportunities for new learners and career shifters in the IT industry. It will refresh your mind and every step of the way you subsequently learning new skills. I really recommend this course.
