This course is the first of a series that aims to prepare you for a role as an entry-level IT Support Specialist. In this course, you’ll be introduced to the world of Information Technology, or IT. Great course! Good start for any IT career. I love the fact that there are no pre-requisites required to enroll. Not even a high school diploma needed just your willingness to learn. Thank you Google!

This is an excellent introduction to the IT world, even I have some knowledge in this area I have acquired more tools and experience that would make me grow and be more prepared for future endeavors. Thanks for your effort in doing well-prepared courses.

It's something between 4.5 and 5 actually.

But compared to my experiences it's a full 5.

I wish it would improve those high level English words or phrases because I'm from India and I took lot time to adjust to it. Few explained better but felt down on few.

An amazingly good overall intro. I am especially impressed that it included a lot of history and under the covers detail about computing. That, I believe, provides a better base for learning and more importantly understanding current technology. Nice job!

This was a great course it's totally immersive, and perfect for beginners. I knew next to nothing coming into the course, and while I don't feel like I know everything I feel like I learned a lot that I didn't know. I can't wait to get to the next course.

This course was excellent, with a good grounding in hardware, operating systems, introduction to networking, and getting you stated on the strategies of troubleshooting. I went from a user who could at least install a program, do building my own machine.

Great introductory course that prepares you for all the aspects of IT support in the coming lessons. As a first course should, it gives you an idea on all the relevant topics needed to complete the course so you can get an idea if it's a good fit for you.

it's a best course that I can recommend !!!! if you're looking to enroll in an IT field with no previous tech background, then it's for you. and for computer science students it'll give you a strong foundation in how computer and computing systems works.

I enjoyed the course. I look forward to learning more and getting that certificate so I can be on my way to my new career in IT! I love the Virtual machine learning part. I think that is the most critical part along side customer service and interaction.

Great introductory course to IT, I especially enjoyed the hands on activities. It'd be nice to see some of the lengthy Wikipedia articles replaces with more hands on information, videos, or articles that explain the information in a more interesting way.

I loved this course! It's all I could ask for and more. It is very surface level, but it does a great job of setting you up for the deeper course to come. If you're interested in learning anything about the tech field, I would 100% recommend this course!

Great fundamentals course gives plenty of information yet still allows for someone like myself that has only used computers to browse the internet or use a number of programs on it the ability to follow, learn, and progress.

The "Technical Support Fundamentals" course is an absolutely brilliant way to achieve more knowledge in the topic of IT essentials. It really helps even if your beginner or intermediate. There is a good relation between videos, reading parts and quizzes.

Very easy to complete, just some issues with the external tool. Coursera will hopefully be able to fix mine as I have completed all of them but they won't update. Overall good course, talks about workplace situations and not just the tech side of things.

As the title of this particular course says, it is fundamentals. Having been in technical support for a while now, this provides the basics that all technical support staff should have. The Technical Support Fundamentals course is a great building block!

Some of the labs are a tad bit testy but attempting them on different internet browsers fixed the problems for me every time. Concepts are easy to understand and are explained very well. The supplemental readings can be extremely helpful and informative.

Overall quite a nice little cert, please note though that one of the quizes in week 6 has questions that appear too early, as in, it asks questions that hadn't been covered up to that point, but they were covered a little after in the learning material.
