This course was really interesting! I loved it. The teacher was amazing and very engaging. And it was my first time doing peer-graded assignments, i was scared but i did it and i'm so proud of myself.

Fabulous course. I learned a lot of does and doesn't make us happy, and learned valuable tools for introducing and integrating new habits into my life that will definitely contribute to my well-being.

This is a course that has helped me realize the valuable things in life. We, many times focus on material, irrelevant, minor stuff and let all the good things pass us by. This course has helped me see what is important in life. How important meditating is, planning, figure out our way to get to our goal (WOOP). It has been therapeutic to learn week by week the different methods and techniques we can use to drag ourselves to the present time and enjoy, savour, the moment living in the present. An absolute eye-opener!

I love the combination of teaching the science of what actually makes us happy (spoiler - it's not stuff!) and practical exercises to build the habit of actually doing the things that contribute to our well-being. At first I felt like things were going too slowly and I could practice more than one technique at a time, but I realised while doing it that I needed to slow down and focus on each technique if I wanted to make it a habit and learn how to adapt it to make it work best for me. I highly recommend this course.

This course has been very impactful for me. I've found myself rethinking goal setting and setting priorities that are a lot more connected to my actual well being. The course did a great job of stating that a lot of what we think will make us happy (work accomplishments, grades, being rich, losing weight, etc) will actually affect very little of our baseline happiness. While daily practices and things like gratitude, sleep, exercise, tapping into our strengths, have a much bigger impact in our day to day well-being.

I thought this was a great course, it really made me think. It also was very self reflective, I realized through taking this course that I am responsible for my own happiness.

I enjoyed the weekly lessons and could feel myself becoming more content with every passing week. My husband noticed I was more relaxed and happy.

Professor Santos was very well organized and she knew her stuff. She was a joy to listen to and made the course fun and relatable.

I would and have recommend this course to others.

This course literally changed my life. Not only did it reduce anxiety attacks, decrease depression and boost my overall happiness and wellness, it actually helped give me the courage to quit my job and strike out on a new career path as a solopreneur copywriter. Through this course I realized what a detrimental effect my job was having on my mental health and wellness and so by implementing the tools and lessons learned, I made the change for the better! Thank you so much, Laurie. Couldn't have done it without you!

Dr. Laurie is so engaging and likeable. The content and issues that she discussed were relatable and I found myself involuntarily nodding and agreeing with many of the issues/topics that she discussed throughout the 10 weeks in this course. I do wish there was a little more interaction other than the forms to keep track of your rewirements or that the app was a little more updated, but otherwise I really enjoyed this course and would recommend it to anyone who wants to change their outlook and perspective on life!

I loved this course! I enrolled in it initially because I was noticing that I was starting to get very depressed and sad (COVID-19, Job Loss, Etc). Professor Santos was engaging and easy to understand, she was relatable and the class flowed nicely. My mood has improved dramatically since taking this course and I have shared this course with many of my friends and on my blog www.whatnow.nyc

I realised that I have knew quite many things about the science of well-being (I have read a lot on the topic). But the course put it all together, structured, organized... I enjoyed the homework rewirement tasks.. The past 10 weeks left a small immediate impact on my mood and am I am sure that in the long run I will successfully manage to organize and design my everyday life in a better way and be much happier than before. I wish a big success to everyone who strives for happiness and fully recommend the course!

This course has triggered my spiritual, mental and physical evolution by providing me with research-backed happiness boosting strategies coupled with easy and simple practical exercises. It has created a new mindset of living a mindful life and has forever activated my self-development researcher. Thank you, Laurie and everyone who made this course happen for us. This experience was very useful! I enjoyed putting some of these techniques in to practice. I also enjoyed hearing some of the scientific background for them. Also, this saved a lot of time to have Prof Laurie Santos curate and distill all the research and information for us, rather than having to read all of the individual books on positive psychology on my own. I look forward to sharing these insights with others. I also look forward to the positive impact that my personal changes may have on those around me.

Quite eye opening and such a useful tool to become more centered, grounded, and mindful of the life that so many take for granted. Very helpful with respect to depressive episodes and mood changes. Conscious rewiring assists in 'thinking differently' and the techniques and strategies actually help. This course is great for college level students and invaluable to those who are more seasoned. Life changes, so do experiences. It is helpful to continue to navigate such, rather than to just let it be. Many Thanks.

At a time of uncertainty (being made redundant) this course could not have been better timed. It has given me hope and a more positive outlook on life. While I am finding it hard to wrestle with the fact of wanting a good job with a good salary, I know in my heart that if the job is fulfilling and affords me time affluence this will make me 10 times happier than a well-paid job that doesn't give me time to do the important things in life like creating memorable experiences that I can do and share with others.

me gustó mucho este curso, porque tiene estrategias que ayudan a construir la emoción de la felicidad, o alegría o el amor, o el bienestar. estuve construyendo los habitos y empecé por el que necesitaba, "woop" después estoy terminando los 21 dias de meditación con Deekpak Chopra. Normalmente hago ejercicio, caminata durante 30 minutos con mi perra, aunque apenas emece el día de hoy. lo que si le puedo decir Dra. Santos, con estas estrategias se me ha quitado la depresión, o rencor etc...... Gracias por todo!!!

This course was the best thing to happen to me in years! It has opened my mind to make the changes in my life on a daily basis without a ton of effort to improve my outlook on life. Enjoy life on lifes terms, be happy and appreciate what I have. My daily rewirements are definitely making a big improvements on my daily life. I do have goals I want to reach, but I'm also ready for setbacks and how to handle them. My overall Happiness is better than it ever has & for that I'm extremely happy beyond words!!!

It has been a complete discovery for me.

I was not friend of this kind of issues, but I am completely satisfied with the concepts learned.

How different are the things when you realize about the background of them. Identifying easy aspects which help you to manage better your concerns, thoughts and wishes.

You are able to put aside those annoying things that make you loose your direction.

I really recommend this course to everyone. This is, somehow, a basic knoledge everyone shall know to enjoy more their lifes.

I recommend this course for anyone interested in well-being, whether you are completely new to the practice of well-being or you have been practicing for years. If you are new, you will learn much. If you have been practicing for a while, you may learn a few new insights, but mostly you'll get a sense of reassurance and validation that you are making the right choices for your own personal well-being. The course is also a great opportunity to recharge any well-being habits that may have fallen by the wayside.

It was an amazing Course. It has a potential to practical enhance the happiness in ones life and also for others around. The course instructor was really knowledgeable and she taught it in a very engaging manner. She presented things in such a simple and practicable way that most of the taught rewirements become routines in daily life. It really gives boost to happiness in real life beyond the course. I've always considered myself to be (a little too much) down-to-earth and found it difficult to relate to the more 'soft' approaches like 'be grateful' and 'savor the moment'. In the back of my mind I always had an idea that the ancient philosophies must have had some value, simply because they have survived the ages. I'm so glad to live in an age where science is now able to empirically prove these old wisdoms to be true! It will help me for myself and to help others to be happier (and better) in life! 😋👍

When I signed in for this course, I didn't know what to expect. I have to say that after a few lessons I was kind of curious about the whole "Well-Being" thing. I'm glad I finished the course. Although this course cemented some of the things I lived my life by, I also learned a few things that definitely I will incorporated in my life. I'm also trying to help my husband to savor his moments in life a little more. Professor Laurie Santos made this course very easy to understand and follow. Big thanks to her.

I loved this course. It has immensely helped change my mindset on what should matter in life.

I have learned a lot and the 4 week challenge at the end was what kickstarted a permanent change in habits in my life. I will never stop recommending this course.

The only MINOR improvement I'd suggest is the final assessment. I am not a woman of many words but even I found it difficult to give articulate answers in so few sentences so I ended up writing a bit more than required.

Aside from that really recommend it.

Incredible professor and course. Very relevant, straight forward, practical and inspiring. The course has given me a founded view on well-being and practical tools to work with daily. It didn't make me 'happier' but it did change my view on happiness, which has made me realise I'm happier than I thought. It shines a light on whats proven to enhance well-being and with that focus, your world truely changes. You become more aware of the daily things you may already do and really observe and internalise them.

An excellent online course! I read an article about the popularity of this course a year or two ago, and was thrilled to see it on Coursera. The professor is engaging in her insightful lectures and the studies supporting them. Dr. Santos has a passion and energy which is contagious. Her empathy is evident as she shares her own struggle to complete the rewirement challenge in discussions with students. I highly recommend this course for everyone. It should be a requirement for all incoming college students!
