This specialization is intended for early career and novice researchers who are preparing to write their first major biomedical or health research grant proposals. Through three courses, you will cover how to plan and prepare proposals and resubmissions; develop study designs and data analysis plans that align with budgets, timelines, and milestones; and apply writing techniques that increase reader comprehension and engagement. These courses will prepare you to use best practices and avoid common pitfalls in your health research grant proposals.
Applied Learning Project
Using lectures, handouts, worksheets, and assessments, learners will understand, identify, and apply strategies for grant proposals and later resubmissions. Bonus content is provided in the form of podcast interview clips with early career and established researchers; the podcast "From the Mentor's Desk" is launched to accompany this course in order to provide additional learning for motivated learners who seek more. This course will prepare you for future training opportunities with us, allowing for live in-person writing and feedback that will advance your grant writing skills.
