I am currently studying Chemical Engineering. However, after going for industry training as a data analyst, I decided to venture more in this direction and I really learn a lot from this course.

The Introduction to Data Engineering course offers a well-structured overview of key concepts in data engineering. It covers essential topics like data pipelines, ETL processes, and database management, making it ideal for beginners. The content is clear, with practical examples that help learners understand real-world applications. However, more advanced learners might find it a bit basic. Overall, it's a solid starting point for those looking to enter the field of data engineering.

Great introduction to Data Engineering. It made it possible that I can now find my way through a lot of language (HDF, SQL, RDMS, AWS, query, etc. etc.). But much more important is to learn that data engineering is the backbone for AI en Machine Learning. Without proper structured databases and high quality data it is "garbage in garbage out". This course made me learn what is necessary and important to realize high quality data.

I really enjoyed the Introduction to Data Engineering from IBM's Professional Certificate offering. As I continue with my academic pursuits, I will work at building my practical experience in the data science field. I will probably start out as a junior data analyst or programmer and from there, learn as much as I can about databases and data consumers to hopefully gain better insight into database administration.
