Great course for someone who is interested in IT or technology in general. Also a great refresher course for someone who is already with the IT job like myself. I do not have an IT background as an education but being an IT Support ore than 10 years. The course has helped me understand some of the fundamentals that I did not know. There was great 'aha!' moments throughout!

While I took this course as knowing very little about computers, I didn't realize I knew more about IT than I thought. I think this course is very well put together to teach beginners about IT and computers. I specifically learned more about binaries and what happens "under the hood". It was an enjoyable experience and I can't wait to expand my knowledge into the IT industry.

I think this was a great Overview and beginning to learning about these topics. I liked how there were videos and also text available to read, but that they required active listening, otherwise you wouldn't understand something and you had to watch the videos to complete a section, even if you felt like you knew it. I learned a few things I was not aware of in a few sections.

The course is vital to my further career in IT. The knowledge foundation of Technical support fundamentals puts a real-life outlook into everything which makes the learning easier to follow. It was a pleasure to go through this Technical Support Fundamentals Course. All the presenters were very enthusiastic about their job and about IT. They explained everything so that even a non-native speaker could understand it properly. However I am not a technical person, I liked to see what's inside the machine, and how layers are added up. Thank you for all your effort!

All of the instructors were very straightforward in a humanly way. I do not know if they were trained as instructors, but I, currently studying in Education field, definitely acknowledge their teaching skills. Their tones, word choices and gestures were very positive. Course syllabus was also well designed. At no point have i felt overwhelmed or bored. Great course overall!

Course was very well thought of and provided a good introductory course to world of IT. Even though I knew some of the content, it helped me refine some of my skills and also helped me know what to expect for the rest of the course. I appreciate that since if it didn't capture my interest, I wouldn't continue. Know I'm more determined in learning and completing this course.

This may be the first course out of a few. This course was smooth and doesn't seem to be that difficult. its a well planned course alongside with it being the first course. Way to go on grabbing attention and keeping it interesting. The only down side on these lessons is that there's none to couple of interactions when it comes to videos. Overall, great fundamental course!

This is a great course, I've learnt from Google. It has thought me so many basic concepts of IT and computer. This course contains Google's virtual labs for Windows and Linux operating system. I had only issue, even though I have completed all my tasks and assignments, it took 48 hours to get my certificate. However, I will highly recommend this course to every IT beginner.

I knew a lot of this information already, however, I still learned more by watching the instructional videos. This course was made for those that want to learn more about the IT industry and those that want to start in the IT industry. There is so much invaluable information in this course, that I recommend this course for those in the entry-level support positions already.

This is what all courses should be and especially ones that state no prior knowledge is necessary absolute beginner. The information was clear easily understood easily researchable beyond the class. The instructors were warm and open and encouraging. You believe from the first video if this is something you want to learn even if it is not to get job in you can. Thank you.

This 1st Module was a great balance of welcoming introduction, useful and practical application methods, but also a good mix of introductory technical knowledge.
I certainly feel more confident going forward into this field after the first lesson Technical Support Fundamentals.
I appreciate all the instructors in this video segment and their hard work in making these videos.

Amazing good refresher, whether you are familiar or new to the whole scope of computers you will still learn a thing or two. For me this game me a strong foundation for my knowledge of computing, I knew how to use certain functions but don't know the why. The instructions are clear and concise and the pacing is just right to make sure you won't be bogged down in new terms!

I've got to say I have learned and gained great knowledge from this course. And this is only the beginning, I can't wait to get started on Course 2. The learning experience was great. The fact that it allowed me to advance and finish quicker and not speed through it was great. The IT teachers were amazing, I was able to follow and I wrote notes, lots and lots of notes.

Excellent curriculum! Very close to the types of scenarios and situations that I have found myself in as a service desk professional. Great refresher and Coursera has made the exercises and access to tools that I do not have here at home (like windows and linux... ) available! Thanks Google and Coursera for the confidence boost and fun refresher to get back into the game!

This course is great to get your foot at the door of the world of IT. I enjoyed every second of it and learned quite a bit while reinforcing things that I already knew. I do wish there were some other concepts explained and more examples of typical issues that require troubleshooting in most IT businesses. Overall I had a great experience and I would definitely recommend!

Excellent for those that need to cover this information, very well presented, the backgrounds in the videos definitely add excitement as apposed to the outdated and boring videos my college uses. I love the ability to test out of some of the week assignments and/or the course altogether. Thank you for the amazing quality for the team responsible for putting this together.

The course was extremely helpful and very innovative. I have always been fearful of the I.T. world because of the binary/matrix looking system. Now that I understand it is a coding aspect and all I need is focus and attentiveness, I am much more enthused for the rest of the course. Great job Google on showing the technical support fundamentals in a straightforward method.

This the best course reminds me when trying to solve problem as Staff IT for one years experience dedication and also this the best situation and course offer me to theory and practising as IT Support and System Engineer. When I trying to search the jobs, I was lacking technical experiences when handling router, switch, server and cloud that make an automation in future.
