Too much talking about irrelevant, personal opinions and too wordy.

The course framework and reading materials are OK. The reason for a 1 star rating is the design of the evaluation system. There are too many peer-graded assignments with subjective answers giving chance to overly-competitive participants to downgrade assignments unnecessarily. But this is not all, there are so many many plagiarised or blank submissions that it is difficult to find the required number of assigments to rate.

The flagging of plagiarised or irrelevant submissions are not even attented to. This causes loss of motivation to complete the course. I would suggest to evolve the evaluation system as I believe the aim should be that the participants get to learn something and not get demotivated to even complete the specialization.

This course is about DEI more than leadership. This philosophy redefines everything, not for the better; turning "it" into the opposite of what "it" is. In this case a "leader" is another self-identity rather than an earned responsibility. Cannot recommend.

The course staff completely ignored a technical issue that prevented several learners from accessing the final case study. If it were not for that, I would have given this course full marks.

Previously I did Project Management by Google, this certificate can not even be compared. Its pure garbage, totally boring people doing the bare minimum to have something on Coursera.

As leaders, our growth is intertwined with the growth of our teams. Here are a few key areas to focus on that can help us evolve and create an empowered team environment: Cultivate Curiosity: Encourage a culture of inquisitiveness. Ask questions, seek diverse perspectives, and be open to new ideas. This not only enhances our own understanding but also fosters creativity within the team. Embrace Vulnerability: Share your challenges and successes. By being authentic and transparent, you create a safe space for your team to do the same, strengthening trust and collaboration. Commit to Values: Align your actions with your team’s mission and values. Regularly revisit these principles together to ensure everyone feels connected and invested in achieving shared goals. Encourage Feedback: Foster an environment where giving and receiving feedback is normalized. This creates opportunities for growth and strengthens relationships among team members.

I enjoyed with Everyday Leadership course. It was a great experience, and I got the chance to sharpen my skills and pick up a few new ones along the way.

The course is nicely structured with reading modules , videos, case studies , essays, and quizzes.

Everyday Leadership course designed for about 6 hours per week for 4 week however I completed it in 2.5 weeks.

This course gave me more insights about leadership, decision making, inclusiveness, motivating the groups/teams.

During the course its also highlighted how to look positively to diverse experience's and value it and accept dissent voices within an organization.

To sum up the course really helps in identifying important aspects of being an effective leader, and quantifies it with breakdown the art of leadership to manageable tactics.

"Leading Teams: Developing as a Leader" was a wonderful first course in the specialization. I'd encountered much of the material some 30 years ago as an undergraduate business major, but largely forgotten it as I was in the workforce. While management and leadership have certainly evolved much over that 30 year period, what was nice was that this course was far more practical in applying the leadership skills of today, in addition to those of the principles of leadership I learned back then. The 3Cs were the most fascinating of the concepts I learned in this course, and they truly saved the best for last. The entire course was interesting, and the instructors made sure the videos were neither too long nor too short. The readings are also selectively chosen and complement the videos quite well.

I can't really put into words how much I enjoyed this course. Absolutely loved it. I learned so much and looked forward to each class because the lessons were done so well. I thought it was great that topics were introduced and then the follow-up unit focused on how listeners can build particular skills related to the topic. Really enjoyed the interviews and it was so much fun listening to the instructors discuss topics with one another. Seemed like they were having fun doing the lessons. That just made it so much easier to listen and stay attentive. I have taken several Coursera courses, but this is definitely my favorite so far. Looking forward to the next course in the specialization!

Just Loved the breadth and depth of this course. Helped me understand so many amazing concepts on motivation, group biases like composition, participation and influence, appreciate how I can leverage diversity as my tool to gauge better decisions and opinion by encouraging distributed leadership and make the decisions using decision tree analysis to reduce the heuristics bias! Wow.. This course gave me a new lingo and business jargon! Kudos to iMSM course creators and the professors and staff at University of Illinois Urbana Champaign! Thanks so much!

Foundations of Everyday Leadership provided a framework for leaders, which is highly needed in today's time. I have learned so many aspects on leaders and followers, in addition to the need of transparency and motivation in decision making and decision implementation with wide support across an organization. In fact, I have started using leadership concepts and knowledge through these modules in my day-to-day interactions with my colleagues for effective collaboration. Thank you.

I learned a lot and had many takeaways. I have managed teams in the US and in Asia and really thought I would take the class more to check it off my list. I started learning right from the opening both within Professor Northcraft's classes, modules, Coursera. Looking forward to continuing down this path. Actually had a major mis-communication at work from the top and saw some of the many things I had learned lacking in this internal process. Very interesting

This course is a big must-do because the information here is organized and structured nicely. There is one case study activity in each module which I also like a lot, since the course comprised mostly of practicing, which is great for learning.

Videos provided by lecturers are clear and very easy to catch up on the topic. It is also awesome that in this course there are topic summaries, so you can review the presentation and explanations any time.

Excelente curso.

One thing I must say that, you might have heard about different trerminologies used in this course during different moments at your work place but you never noticed them. After completing this course all those starts making sense. You may not learn completely new things in this course but the random things you had heard/learnt in the past will be organized in a beautiful way. I loved it
