This course was really interesting! I loved it. The teacher was amazing and very engaging. And it was my first time doing peer-graded assignments, i was scared but i did it and i'm so proud of myself.

Course provide a welcome push during the height of CoVid-19 lock-down and other events unfolding in my life. It was excellent to be reminded about or learn new aspects of the science of happiness (well-being). I enjoyed Dr. Santos' lectures and insights into the subject and greatly appreciate the encouragement she regularly provided. Thank you for this learning opportunity.

I loved this course! It was very practical, doable, and you get a lot of information! Sometimes the lectures were a bit too long for my liking. Now there is nothing to stop me from becoming happier in my day to day life! I will have more gratitude for the life I live and live more intentionally! I really want to thank Yale and Laurie for keeping me busy in these strange times!

I really enjoyed this course and I hope that I can actively put some of these practices into my life. Thank you Prof for changing my worldview on a lot of things. I previously really wanted a job with high income and got really upset when I got bad grades, but I am going to look above these material aspects and focus more on being in the moment and appreciating now. Thank you!

Dr. Santos, you’ve forced me to re-evaluate my happiness at the most unhappy time of my life and I can’t thank you enough. Consumerism has failed immensely to teach us how to truly be happy and your course has been a refreshing realization. Since it is the most popular course on Coursera, I imagine you will develop new ideas and I look forward to see what you have for us next.

A fantastic learning opportunity to understand both the empirical science of positive psychology and emotional wellbeing counterpointed with behaviour change concepts to learn how we develop and build positive habits. Learning was collegiate and practical and as a newbie to online courses, this was a great introduction to the world of continuous development online. Thanks all!

Interesting, worth of time invested, provided all important papers and readings to extend the knowledge. Laurie really grabbed my hand and pulled me through the science of wellbeing, leaving me at the end with ease and smile, even at the times of (inevitable) struggle. I am not 100% time happy now, I am just more aware how to act to live a higher quality life.

This course helped me get through the pandemic. It taught me so much about rewiring and shifting our attention to what we thought is making us happy versus the things that truly make us happy. Amazing course, this is the best gift anyone can give to self. I learned so much in this course, and it totally changed my perspective about life. Things that I thought were so much important to making me happy have been overtaken by simple joys of life that's so easy to incorporate and cherish in our daily lives. This course actually breaks down something as ephemeral as well-being -- specific components and practical steps to improve this feeling are offered and insights into how we sabotage ourselves are very helpful in trying to form new and productive habits of behavior and thought that lead to improved feelings of contentment and well-being. Very enjoyable and very constructive!

I started the course not knowing exactly what I would be learning and found that it was enlightening. I learned how we, as human beings, seem to try and achieve things that really don't lead to happiness, and the course run by Lauri Santos taught me how to do things like savour, meditate, be grateful in order to increase my happiness. I highly recommend this excellent course.

The course was perfect to take during my shelter in place time at home. It was an excellent companion to learnings I have going on with work on growth mindset, and of all things the Noom the weight loss app that discusses mindsets. The course reinforced concepts I have been working on and took it further with deeper learning. I really enjoyed it, so glad I took this course!

This was a great way to spend time during social distancing. The videos and readings were uplifting and gave me food for thought during the day. The quantity of material was perfect. I liked that there was extra optional material for when I had the time. I also liked that the course was front loaded with information and the end was for reminders and practical application.

I highly recommend this course! Increasing your sense of happiness seems like such a simple concept, but this course helps you to understand the science behind the barriers that we create and how practicing self-awareness and gratitude can shift your mindset entirely. You will gain an increase in energy, awareness and a positive perspective toward the definition of success.

I can honestly say that this course has changed my life. My happiness scores went up dramatically, and I feel better overall. Taking this course during a pandemic was an interesting challenge. These trying times meant more potential for sadness and grief, but they also afforded me the free time to engage in the course. I'm so thankful that I did! Dr. Santos - you're amazing.

Even better than I could have ever expected. Suitable for anyone who is looking for the answers to a better well being, as well as people who are more interested in the psychology behind it. The science is so well explained that people with no knowledge of science would get the same out of the course as someone who is more knowledgeable. I can't recommend this course enough.

Just completed the "Science of Well-Being" 10 Week Course through Coursera. Worth every minute of time and since my primary Signature Strengths (VIA Institute of Character) are "Love of Learning" and "Spirituality" and "Love", I was totally engaged and in "The Flow". I highly recommend this course, especially as an antidote to the negative emotional effects of this pandemic.

Loved the course. I had practiced these principles for many years, and I teach them to my clients. However, this was more like an intuitive process. This course gave me the science behind it, which I think is extremely useful because it does validate my inner connection. Also I learned new techniques such as WOOP that I can add to my practice to make even better. Thank you!

Well tailored course. The coach is excellent. Her fluency and domain knowledge is awesome. Methods are very scientific. But not happy with a hurried peer review. Do people feel the limitation of quantitative methods? Abrupt score to deduct without going into my booklet presume. Please work on that. Everyone is not serious. The older ones are very involved and honest people.

This course was very enjoyable and the fact that we have to do weekly rewirments allows us to practice and build new healthy habits. I am truly grateful to Dr. Santos for putting out such a great course not only for Yale students but for everyone who wishes to do it. I did this course along with a mindfulness and emotional magament one and they both complemented each other.

I truly enjoyed this course. I went into the course with so much expectations, and I got a boost..... A complete rewirement of my thought process. The awareness of how our minds think and react towards things in general is a powerful tool that helps us rethink and reprogram our mind. Meditation helped me to control my mind, and I am happier at the end than at the beginning.

I started this course at the behest of my friend, and it is probably the best thing I have come across on Coursera! The course is backed by scientific data, and offers mind-blowing evidence that proves without a doubt how so much of our behaviour is detrimental to our happiness. I strongly recommend that everyone take up this course, regardless of their academic background.

It was extremely useful to do with everything going on because of the COVID-19 situation. The last weeks dedicated to building habits were very useful because even though I struggled, it was very good to be still part of a group and have the accountability that every week check up was providing. Honestly one of the best things that happened to me this year! I didn't know I needed this course to help me reset my goals. I tried to savor moments and feel gratitude my whole life but this just helped me implement those on a daily/weekly basis. Keeping track and doing assignments weekly really helped me stay on track and even do my rewirement on a daily basis with ease!
