This course was awesome. It is not just theory based but also practical. It explain how we can use different strategies to form a habit which will help us to be happy. This course is there with you completely for ten weeks till you won't form a habit. I am so happy that I join this course. I am also grateful to yale university for conducting such courses. Thank you

Professor Santos is friendly and provides easy-to-understand explanations of concepts regardless of what education level you are at. Videos are practical, reasonably timed to provide information without going on a rant, and the short quizzes are easy to answer and a great way to review the material. I would highly recommend this professor and this course to anyone.

I can see why this course is so popular. Prof. Santos explains the research of why the things we think will make us happy actually don't, and then provides solid strategies to better take control of our own sense of well being. Several of the strategies may seem obvious or like things your parents tell you, but they also just work. I highly recommend this course.

Course was very interesting and informative. Discussed some of the science that backs up what the professor was talking about. Practical information for everyday life. The course if free but if you want a certificate there is an option for a small fee for that. I thought the course was excellent and paid the fee not for the certificate but to help the program.

Taking the course helps me comfort my own self, regarding what is happiness. It made me realised that things aren’t really meant to be the same forever. It improves my perceptions and strengthen my future goals. Honestly, inspired by teacher Laurie Santos by her upfront admission that she isn’t teaching because she is perfectly happy but she is also working on it!

Well organized course with different media used so that you stay engaged. Laurie Santos presents a case to look at our happiness differently so you have to go through all the weeks to get the full message. The final exercise wraps everything up. Peer review was new to me but set up very easy to do in the course. I enjoyed it AND I learned some things about myself.

This course truly changed my life. I have known about the things I should want and what should make me happy. But really learning the "behind the scenes" on why I don´t want the right things really helped me. Also the ReWi app is fantastic! I would appreciate if there also was some "personal" thing that you can track, like your own thing you are keeping an eye on.

As a person in her late 40's who likes to learn, I have found some of the content repetitive a great way ( for example, reading Seligman is always fascinating). I enjoyed Dr. Santos approach to discussion, implementation and overcoming the mental barriers to achieve our goals. I wish I had this course when I was an undergraduate and concepts even earlier in life.

This is an amazing course that will blow your mind about the mis-conceptions we have about what gives us happiness or otherwise. The revelations have been truly life changing and transformative - this course is a uniquely wrapped mix of innovative knowledge and action and most of all it doesn't feel like studying or work at all! :)

Thanks so much Professor Santos!

I have always been an optimist in most aspects of my life and after taking this course I was able to discover more strategies and levels of importance of emotional prominence over materialistic things or what we think is important in making us happy. Overall, this course has educated me to not only keep a positive mind-set but how to enable it in my everyday life.

This course is an amazing and practical tool that tells you what to improve, how to improve, and most importantly why to improve certain things that might not be intuitive at all.

The course arms you with tools that help you think of your happiness and really increase it. The course insists you need to take action instead of hoarding the knowledge and it is great!

A fantastic course! Nowhere, such way of teaching, at least in the online mode can take place on this topic. Very high quality inputs, videos, discussions and quizzes; and very relevant too. Also, the potent academic contents on well-being shared by the learned and dedicated teacher, Laurie Santos, helped to greatly mitigate the pressures of the pandemic. Thanks!

The teacher (Dr. Santos) is amazing. She's very engaging

I really like how the course was structured with our misconceptions of what will make us happy & the science behind why our brains play these tricks. Following that with what really makes us happy & the research behind it & finally the tools to implement these goals.

Really impressive life-changing course

I started this course when we began the Shelter in Place during Coronavirus, and it has made such a difference for me. Not only was it a great way to keep a schedule and some structure in my now very loose "work" weeks, it taught many tactics for increasing general happiness. I know I will use the strategies and theories laid out in this course for years to come!

I was very interested in taking this course but skeptical of the effectiveness and the fact that it was “on-line”. I truly enjoyed it. Along with Dr. Santos’ lectures the additional resource materials were both pertinent and informative. I will take other courses because this one has added much value to my life.

BTW Love of Learning was my top Character Strength.

This was incredible course full of researches which helps to understand the topic deeper and see the picture more clear. The practical side of the course was also very helpful as the rewirements were chosen in a very right way. I recomend this course not only to proffesionals but also to everyone who wants to make their life happier and increase their well-being.

Shows you what is really important in life. I liked the re-wirement exercises to start the change process. At the beginning it takes mental effort to include a new habit into your daily life. I liked the selected wellness choices (out of the many possible self-care activities) that can improve your happiness by engaging with even one of them on a regular basis.

Laurie Santos is an incredible teacher. This class should be mandatory for EVERYONE. I LOVE the idea of teaching this to K-12 students. I have learned that it is so simple to start creating habits to live a life of true happiness. I have started teaching my children this, in hopes it catches on to create a generation of happiness in our family for years to come!

This was an awesome course. I will definitely refer people for the course. It was very eye opening and inspiring to learn about myself. To really think about my own happiness and well being. Also to know that I can change the outcome of my happiness and well being. Now will continue to take these tools I have learn and put them to use in everyday life. Thank you

It was not only a very informative and relevant course. I loved the lecturer and remained totally engaged for the whole time.

I have changed a lot of my routines, I have done more study and aiming at professional development.

I am still learning a lot from The Happiness Lab Podcasts and I do not hesitate to encourage others to enrol at science of well-being.

Loved hearing Prof Laurie Santos. She is very enthusiastic about the subject and that maked the course more fun. I leant such simple tools to create happiness that I know I will be able to use them long term. I also learnt that I need to continue doing a lot of the things that I have and just need to be aware of how they are impacting me. Thank you! Sohini Doshi
