This is an extremely worthwhile course. The instructor does a great job of making the scientific information digestible and accessible. Additionally, real-world application of the new techniques you are learning is built right into the course. Not only did my measurable "happiness scores" increase after this course, but I also just felt better!

This course is around at just the right time. It helped me to reflect on what I need to focus on in order to make my own life happier and the lives of those around me.It had a good scientific base and interesting research findings which I appreciated. It reawakened my interest in the study of Psychology and particularly in Positive Psychology.

What a wonderful (and important) course. I think these material should be taught to high school students as a requirement for graduating. Our cultural (United States) beliefs on what will make us happy are so skewed. This course (and all the researchers studying the material in it.) will go a long way to happier, healthier future generations!

I enjoyed this class and definitely i will recommend it to friends and colleagues . The science of well being and happiness will help people not only find themselves and their strengths, but to share with other their happiness, as they practice respect and share something in common. I loved the influence of the experts for each of the themes.

Very Interesting and informative on small but effective habits to inculcate in life. It's helped change my perspective on life in general. I hope to spread this learning and inspire other people and keep myself motivated through my Instagram well-being community I started, called "Innercard" which was further enhanced after taking this course.

This course is fantastic! I'm so glad to have found it, and what a perfect time during quarantine. I looked forward to the lectures, and found it so useful to understand that what we think makes us happy actually doesn't make us happy.

I highly recommend for anyone looking for more meaning and happiness in their life, and who couldn't use that.

Thank you Professor Santos for this incredible opportunity to find happiness in the midst of a pandemic with three young children quarantined at home for 3 months! You made one mum's dream come true by making it a possibility to do this course from home even while my children are literally on top of me all day! Thank you and may God bless you!

This course helped me realize that I can engage in better wanting to improve my happiness. Better wanting involves looking at all of the things that we think will make us happy in life but in reality pose a series of threats to our well-being. The key to our own happiness then becomes wanting the things in life that will promote our well-being.

I thoroughly enjoyed this course. It pushed me out of my comfort zone and helped me tremendously during the COVID-19 Pandemic which affected my household. My husband of 30 years became very ill and was admitted in the hospital. It was a close call but thankfully he survived and we are on the road to recovery. Savoring and grateful! Namaste.

very good in terms of discussing the nuances....so many layers and layers to unravel. Obviously well being is most talked about and is the hot topic of discussion since decades but its a huge labyrinth or a maze which cannot be decipherd or decoded without efforts and sincerity. This module does cover the nitty gritties involved & its great !

This was a wonderful 10-week program. Thank you so much for designing a learning experience that allows plenty of interaction throughout the program. I agree that this information should be shared and taught to school-aged children as well. Thank you for also adding so many resources to deepen our understanding. I highly recommend this course!

This course was so enjoyable especially since I started it at the beginning of COVID lockdown in March 2020. The pacing was reasonable... the video content and resources were interesting. Learning about my character strengths and how to add activities that enhance them increased my well-being awareness. Thanks so much for teaching this course!

I really enjoyed this course, which I took because I really enjoying listening to Professor Santos' podcast, The Happiness Lab. She presented information you can use/apply in your daily life. I think "rewirement" is a perfect description for applications of the really useful "well-being" initiatives. I've recommended this course to others.

It is not a course for many I hope its a way of life. I must thank prof Laurie Santos, the way she explained various known topics but not implemented by all of us. It is a real course on self-introspection. And, I must owe to GITAM UNIVERSITY providing this opportunity in pandemic situations to learn and grow. Finally A big thanK to COURSERA

I took this course at the start of our Stay Home order due to the COVID-19 pandemic as a way to distract and better myself. What a rewarding experience this has been. As my first online class, I was thoroughly impressed with the content material and the teaching style of Professor Laurie Santos. This was the best 10-week investment I've made.

This course provided a little focus and self reflection during the stay at home orders. I found myself exploring my own beliefs about happiness and truly feel I have a stronger foundation and some real work to do to continue this journey. I highly recommend others take the course to explore their own thoughts about happiness and well-being.

This is totally accessible for all academic levels and skill sets. Laurie introduces basic cognitive strategies to overcome our mental biases that inhibit our success, namely the ability to stick at positive habits that will bring us happiness.

This course has a great mixture of academic content and practical tools that everyone can work with.
