This four-course Specialization covers the basics of the JavaScript language and introduced learners to the ways in which JavaScript can manipulate content on web pages. It focused on the popular jQuery library and explored the syntactical differences between JavaScript and jQuery. Several smaller projects were used to demonstrate how jQuery is used and how it differs from plain JavaScript. It used jQuery plugins and built on the previous knowledge by developing skills with more complex and more challenging scripts. It also focused on using data with JavaScript and looked at basic methods for handling data provided by users, or coming from an external data source.
