Georgetown University has been designated as a Center of Academic Excellence in Cybersecurity by the National Security Agency.* The new concentration in the Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies strengthens Georgetown’s mission to equip learners with in-demand skills to succeed in a rapidly changing job market.
The concentration in Cybersecurity, Analytics, & Technology is designed for students who are interested in pursuing careers in intelligence, cybersecurity, criminology, or technology. The program provides a blend of theoretical knowledge and practical skills, with a focus on analytical methods, cybersecurity fundamentals, criminological principles, and the latest advancements in technology.

We accept up to 64 transfer credits, including military training as well as CLEP and AP exam scores, which can be applied toward your elective credits. Prior work experience does not qualify as transfer credit.
Yes, all students enrolled in a degree program can access on-campus facilities with a valid GOCard. You will receive additional information on how to obtain your GOCard after accepting your offer of enrollment. Online students will also have the opportunity to participate in the graduation ceremony on campus.
As a student in the Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies program, you’ll experience an enriching and engaging classroom experience through a thoughtfully crafted online experience. You will learn through online lectures before meeting with the teaching team and your classmates to dive deeper into the material. You’ll have regular and ongoing opportunities to interact with fellow students through course discussion forums and get access to every question asked and answered by previous students.

The BLS degree is a 120-credit degree. This translates to 40 3-credit courses. All courses are 3 credits.

No, there is not an application fee.
The successful applicant for the Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies degree completion program will typically have completed some course work at a postsecondary institution or have professional, military, or life experience prior to applying to the program. International students must submit one of the following English language proficiency exams: TOEFL or IELTS.
Work experience is not a requirement.
To apply, applicants need to submit unofficial transcripts from all for-credit institutions/programs. To matriculate, students will need to submit official transcripts from all institutions where any credit was earned. Official transcript(s) must be sent to the Georgetown SCS Admissions Office.
Unofficial transcripts from all previously attended for-credit institutions/programs must be submitted when applying. Unofficial transcripts can be uploaded directly into the application prior to submission.
Once applicants are admitted and have enrolled, an official transcript is required from all institutions where any credit was earned. The official transcript(s) must be sent to the Georgetown SCS Admissions Office prior to matriculation. Transcripts must either be emailed or sent in an envelope sealed by the school's registrar, or sent via an official online transcript provider to scsadmissions@georgetown.edu.
