Track 1: MSc in Innovation and Entrepreneurship is the best path if you’re an early-stage professional or developing business leader.
With at least two years’ work experience under your belt, you’re at the point where you’re now ready to learn the strategic leadership and entrepreneurial skills you need to take your career to exciting new levels of contribution and growth.
As a student on this MSc, you’ll discover how the very best innovators combine creativity with business knowledge and strategy to go way beyond the industry standard.
Track 2: Executive MSc in Innovation and Entrepreneurship is for you if you’re a management professional, intrapreneur or entrepreneur.
You’ll have at least eight years’ post-bachelor work experience behind you (including managerial experience), and many of the skills and attitudes already in place to drive business development, and create change.

The Executive MSc program is shorter, to allow applicants to fast-track their learning based on prior knowledge gained through experience. The MSc program provides greater opportunities for applicants to acquire key managerial and leadership skills.
We don’t recommend that you apply for the Executive MSc unless your work experience levels match the course requirements.

The Executive Master's in Innovation and Entrepreneurship is a lifelong learning program, which has a BAC+5 level (European level I/EQF 7), and has been awarded a Visa by the French Ministry of Higher Education and Research via the CEFDG (Commission d'Évaluation des Formations et Diplômes de Gestion). The official title of this degree program is: “Diplôme en Innovation et Entrepreneuriat”. You must complete the 120 ECTS credits to obtain the degree.
Any employer or institution who contacts us on your behalf will receive an official confirmation by our institution, stating that you have completed an MSc degree in Innovation and Entrepreneurship at HEC Paris, with 120 ECTS credits. This degree program is accredited from September 2022 until August 2024, and is currently in the process of accreditation renewal.
Applicants for the MSc in Innovation and Entrepreneurship must have: a bachelor's degree, two years’ work experience and English proficiency. Applicants will also be asked to submit a potential project idea. GMAT / GRE are recommended, but not mandatory.
Applicants for the Executive MSc in Innovation and Entrepreneurship must have: a bachelor's degree, eight years’ work experience (including some experience in a senior/management role) and English proficiency. Applicants will also be asked to submit a potential project idea. GMAT / GRE are recommended, but not mandatory.
You should choose either the MSc or the Executive MSc according to your level of work experience and career stage. The Executive MSc is designed for management professionals with at least eight years’ work experience (rather than the two years’ experience required for the standard MSc).
The University Certificate programs may still be a good fit for you as they provide foundational knowledge and are open for anyone to enroll, without entry requirements: Innovation Management & Entrepreneurship; Leading Innovation With Creativity or Trust Based Leadership University Certificate. Strong performance in the certificate may count towards certain eligibility requirements in the admission process.
However, please note that completing the University certificates does not guarantee admission into the degree program. All applications will be reviewed case-by-case by the admissions committee of HEC Paris.
Digital learning is an integral part of our program portfolio. Courses in the degree program are taught by the same faculty as HEC Paris' on-campus programs, and graduates will join the HEC Paris alumni network.
The graduation ceremony held every year on the HEC Paris campus allows students to celebrate their achievements in person, with hundreds of other successful students and their guests.
Both paths have been specifically designed to fit around the lives and commitments of busy working professionals. While effective time management is essential in order to meet course deadlines and requirements, the program has been built to provide students with the most sustainable schedule possible.
The University Certificates (Innovation Management & Entrepreneurship; Leading Innovation With Creativity or Trust Based Leadership) allow you to make progress towards the Executive MSc or MSc in Innovation and Entrepreneurship.
All tuition and course materials will be delivered in English, and applicants are expected to be fully proficient. There’s no English proficiency test involved in the admission process.
