HEC Paris offers two distinct Innovation and Entrepreneurship program paths, to help applicants achieve the best possible career results. Whether you’re an aspiring or active business leader and entrepreneur, you can choose the path that provides exactly the skills you need at this stage in your career.
The MSc in Innovation and Entrepreneurship is a 24-month program designed for professionals working towards a career as an entrepreneur or intrapreneur, leadership role, innovation management consultant or key decision-maker for launching innovative projects.
As an ideal candidate for this program, you will have at least two years’ work experience under your belt and are ready to learn the strategic leadership and entrepreneurial skills needed to take your career to exciting new levels of contribution and growth.
The Executive MSc in Innovation and Entrepreneurship is an 18-month program designed for management professionals and experienced entrepreneurs with management experience or a strong interest in product innovation and business development.
As an ideal candidate for this program, you will have at least eight years’ work experience behind you (including management experience), and are looking take your career in new directions, launch new ventures, or bring a wider range of expertise and perspective to an existing enterprise.
Your professional experience in innovation and entrepreneurship should guide your choice of program path, as it will play a key role in the success of your application.
Applicants for the degree program must have:
MSc In Innovation and Entrepreneurship
A bachelor's degree
Minimum of two years of professional experience. Applicants without a Bachelor's degree must demonstrate a minimum of six years of significant professional experience.
A potential project idea to share in the admissions video or essay responses
Have a good command of written and spoken English
Executive MSc In Innovation and Entrepreneurship
A bachelor's degree
Minimum of eight years of professional experience
A potential project idea or project you would like to scale up (please share your idea either in your admissions video or essay responses)
Have a good command of written and spoken English

Please include as much detail as possible about your personal motivation and skills to show how you will use this program to achieve your professional goals. The final selection will be based on your online application, plus written essays, recommendations, and an online video presentation of your project and motivations. In some cases, you may be invited to a phone interview with one of the program directors.
You’ll find out if you’ve been successful within two to three weeks of submitting your application.
Start an application through HEC website, choose your path, and submit the following documents:
A copy of your university transcripts and your bachelor's degree certificate is required.
Two online letters of recommendation are required.
A 3-minute online video pitch focusing on your motivations for participating in the program. Highlight examples demonstrating an entrepreneurial mindset during your career. These examples can come from within or outside your current company. Please post your video pitch on YouTube. Participants based in China can use YouKu. Provide us with a private link to the video in your application file.
Submit your answers to essay questions regarding your motivations to joining the program and professional background.
MSIE applicants are required to answer only two mandatory essay questions:

If you have completed the GMAT or the GRE you may upload your results. Please note, that although the submission of a GMAT or GRE score is not mandatory, it will be taken into consideration for those who have taken the exam.
If you are currently enrolled, or have completed University Certificate in Innovation Management and Entrepreneurship; University Certificate in Leading Innovation with Creativity or Trust Based Leadership University Certificate, submit your proctored exam results in order to earn credits towards the degree.
