Fernando Sandoval es Doctor en Ciencias Administrativas por la ESADE Business School de Barcelona, España.
Ha sido profesor en el Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey y en la EGADE Business School por más de 10 años en asignaturas como Estrategia Empresarial, Liderazgo y Gestión del Capital Humano, Empresas Familiares y Sucesión Empresarial, entre otras.
Es miembro investigador del proyecto STEP (Successful Transgenerational Entrepreneurship Practices) que estudia Empresas Familiares exitosas alrededor del mundo y que involucra a universidades de gran prestigio internacional como lo es Babson College.
Además, es miembro de GRACO-ESADE, un grupo de investigación sobre conocimiento y aprendizaje en las organizaciones.
Ha participado en conferencias de investigación como lo son: la EGOS (European Group for Organizational Studies) en Barcelona 2009 y Gotemburgo 2011; así como en la conferencia internacional FERC (Family Enterprising Research Conferece) del 2010 en México y 2012 en Montreal.
Ha impartido diversos cursos, seminarios, diplomados y ha hecho consultoría sobre estrategia empresarial, empresas familiares y desarrollo organizacional por 15 años.
Además, ha realizado publicaciones en la Revista Development and Learning in Organizations, Journal of Familiy Business Management, en la INCAE Business Review y en América Economía en su versión on-line.
