About the Course

This course explores the topic of solid objects subjected to stress and strain. The methods taught in the course are used to predict the response
of engineering structures to various types of loading, and to analyze the vulnerability of these structures to various failure modes. Axial loading
with be the focus in this course. ------------------------------ The copyright of all content and materials in this course are owned by either the

The course is good and easy to take. It is good to study due to the short videos, that make the course fluid. Very good for remember concepts. A coulpe of comments:

1. I strongly recomend to have a background in mechanics (statics, structures...) otherwise it may not be easy to pass neither to understand.

2. If possible take the previuos courses offered by Dr. Whiteman, (not really needed if you accomplish suggestion 1) .

3. To have and consult a Book of Mechanics of Materials in order to complement the knowledge in lessons
