I really liked the first course in this concentration, and this was the next so I thought it would pretty much be similar in quality. I found this course to be a bit of a struggle to get through for 2 main reasons:
1- Testing for numerical values in this format is difficult. You could have the right answer, but if you don't use the same rounding mechanism or go one numeral beyond what they are asking for, it's wrong.
2- There was not a lot of instruction on the DMAIC process. I really had to get into the supplemental reading to feel that I could complete the assignment; the instruction alone was simply not enough.

Peer reviews are an issue, some people don´t do the assignments at all / some people just ask for reviews in the panel and get or give good reviews.... the course itself was very interesting and it helped my understanding on how to use six sigma better but there was the issue with the quiz in week2 where basically everybody had trouble because it was sometimes very unclear what to put in and how to round up/down

This was better than the last course and actually gave me something to walk away with - the formulas for service levels, safety stocks and EOQ. However, it would have been nice to see how to do these without using excel. For example, when calculating the service level formula, all he did was use the =normsinv formula, and in NO way actually described what it does or how to calculate it without using excel.

It gives some good birds eye view of the topic, but I would like to see more in-depth and technical material.

I recently had the privilege of participating in the Supply Chain Operations course, and I am delighted to share my thoughts and experiences. This course, offered by [Institution's Name], has proven to be an invaluable learning journey that exceeded my expectations on multiple fronts.
From the outset, the course content was structured in a well-organized manner, offering a comprehensive overview of supply chain operations. The modules covered a wide range of topics, from procurement and inventory management to logistics and distribution. This holistic approach allowed me to grasp the interconnectedness of various supply chain elements and how they contribute to overall organizational efficiency. One aspect that truly stood out was the instructor's expertise and dedication. [Instructor's Name] brought a wealth of industry experience to the classroom, effectively bridging the gap between theory and practical application. The real-world examples and case studies shared during lectures illuminated the concepts, enabling me to visualize how these strategies are employed in actual business scenarios.
Moreover, the course embraced a hands-on approach, integrating interactive exercises and group discussions that fostered collaborative learning. These activities not only reinforced the theoretical concepts but also encouraged us to think critically and propose innovative solutions to supply chain challenges.
The highlight of the course was undoubtedly the opportunity to engage with industry professionals during guest speaker sessions. These sessions provided insights directly from those at the forefront of supply chain operations, exposing us to current trends, best practices, and real-time challenges faced by organizations today.
As a result of completing this course, I have developed a comprehensive understanding of supply chain operations, and I feel well-equipped to contribute meaningfully to this dynamic field. The skills acquired, coupled with the network established through interactions with peers and experts, have added substantial value to my professional growth.
In conclusion, the Supply Chain Operations course at [Institution's Name] is a must for anyone seeking a deeper understanding of the intricacies within supply chain management. Research on supply chain management can be broadly classified into three categories, namely, operational, design, and strategic. While many analytical and numerical models have been proposed to handle operational and design issues, formal models for strategic planning are scarce. The supply chain operations reference (SCOR) model, developed by the Supply Chain Council, is a strategic planning tool that allows senior managers to simplify the complexity of supply chain management. It is firmly rooted in industrial practices and is poised to become an industrial standard that enables next‐generation supply chain management. This paper gives a brief introduction to the SCOR model, analyzes its strength and weakness, and discusses how it can be used to assist managers for strategic decision making.

I didn't know that the Operations Course would cover Lean-Six Sigma training. But it was very easy for me. Because I just completed the Lean-Six Sigma Yellow Belt Training last month.
Apart from the Six Sigma, I was very interested in the 5S method, Lead Time Demand (Kanban), EOQ, Safety Stock calculations in the Operations Course and I found it very useful.
In addition, the map I made for the distribution of materials to different corners of the USA, the calculations indicating which Warehouses the materials will reach the customer through, etc. made me see myself as a senior manager.
Thanks a lot.

The amazing course teaches me a lot, such as 6 sigma and lean 6 sigma.....etc. The knowledge improves my work efficiency and keep increasing my work ability. For example, I applied 5s management and kanban concepts on my work process. They are good strategies to improve my work performance and find the details that I should control. The knowledge can apply on every project and everything. Thank you Professor.

Excellent Course. Clear, Well-Described. I learned a great deal, especially regarding Inventory, 5, Economic Order Quantity, NORMSINV(x), Kanban, finding the Correct Kanban Bin Size. I was somewhat familiar with DMAIC, but the other LSS material was new to me and thus harder to learn. Class Lectures and Projects were very very well done.
Thank you,
