This course was very helpful and full information, while keeping it simple. Although I couldn't apply everything I learned in the assignments, I can already think aboout building my spreadsheets in a different way. Consistent formatting and cell styles are some of the best tips I learned

Not interactive, hard to navigate, mostly reading. This is an online book, not a 'course"

I have been doing accounting and finance work for 8 years. I've worked with small & mid-sized corporations, nonprofits, and freelancers. I used what I learned in this course to build a model to track daily cash where I currently work. What I learned here helped me immensely. For my final assignment, I modified a large model I had built a few years ago as a volunteer project for a political organization. I realize now that the way I had built it made maintaining the model unnecessarily complicated. The raw data was on over 20 different sheets instead of being appended together (I appended it together for this course's assignment). I also had used ranges instead of tables because I wasn't comfortable with tables. I don't like how they show up in formulas, I don't like the way the default formatting looks, etc. However, I realized that adding new data to the main input sheet and having it auto-populate the output sheets & charts made updating the entire model with each new report so much easier.

This course is really helpful with my excel skills, though it is advisable to contain more videos of how to operate Excel and the functions rather than words to describe only. In all, it is really helpful and comprehensive!
