An extremely well developed course about not such a simple topic ir research methods. The instructors broke the topics down into easy to learn bytes such that an interested learner can complete easily

Though i have nightmares of research design from my undergraduate career, this puts a neat spin on it and reminds the sheer importance of it. Thanks for the reminder of what is important UPENN!

I am not a science/math person and I found this course very difficult to get through. I had to keep going though, you can't exactly quit a class about grit :)

While interesting, the focus on research methods was a lot less interesting than the rest of the specialization.

The only interesting part were the Angela Duckworth parts..All other aspects of the course were quite boring

I wish the content focused more on grit and not on research methods

This course is a monumental waste of time. First, make up your mind, is it about grit or research methods? Research methods are helpful only to a handful of students and only to some interested in positive psychology. Also, Angela Duckworth didn't invent or realize some well-hidden secret. She worked for 20 years, wrote a book, and gave numerous talks on grit to find out that, talent alone is not enough and if you want to be successful you need to put in the work and the deliberate practice. I know...groundbreaking. I knew all of that when I was in second grade. Worst course on Coursera ever.

Not the best course out of the 5 courses for Foundations of Positive Psychology. The research terminology is daunting for a beginner and not required for a foundation course. I quick introduction and then moving on to more dicussions of grit and character would have been more fun. A deep dive will be justiified if I want to study the course in detail or focus primarily on research methodologies. At this point, I am wondering what I will take away if i complete the course.

The sound quality on Duckworth is amateurish.
The entire focus on scientific article construction and reading is over the top and uninteresting for most consumers.
The content was uninteresting compared to M. Seligman chapters and Resilience part.

We want to learn more about Positive Psychology NOT details on research methods. Unless we intend to go into research ourselves, I found a huge portion of it unnecessary and a waste of my time.

Dreadful. More evidence that positive psychology lacks rigour and is a brand.
