The course provides a good foundation for the most famous strategy concepts. I have appreciated the capstone project which gives you the opportunity to apply the theories learned in the first 3 weeks.

I liked the course a lot, the references were great and gave me great insight about Strategic Management. The lecturer was really good, specially if you compare him to the one in Strategy Formulation.

Excellent course which are basics but need to know before you get in to other 3 modules of the course. I am impressed the way the course module was conducted which was easy to understand and use for day to day functioning of the organization . The reading materials were also good and I have made good notes on the subject from reading modules presented in the course. The professor was very good and managed to get the message on Strategic management basement right for us as beginner.

The course is clear and helps you understand how to look at the problem in a long term vision and not effect your own existing moments / growth / plan. Through out the program you will get lots of real examples which is really helpful as well as interesting to notice and try to find a solution which forces you to place yourself in a real life situation.
Thank you Coursera for providing such great course for us :)

The format of delivery of knowledge oriented with strategy, beginning from how it came into existence, its decline and reemergence later, was really wonderful. The reading material provided throughout the course was exceptional too and one does not usually land to such quality material.
Towards the end, where one starts to question what have I truly learnt, the capstone project was an amazing guide to same.

This was a really well created project that not only taught us about strategic management, but also gave us counter side to every theory mentioned, the counter-arguments against all the different schools of thought when it comes to management, something which most textbooks and even classes generally skip, which is why this was a very informative course for me. Thank you for creating such a nice course!

Excellent course which allowed to broaden my knowledge and skills regarding the essence of strategy, strategic planning and implementation processes as well as its evaluation; since I completed this course after another related set of two courses, i.e. Strategy Formulation and Strategy Implementation. The tutors are superb and offer the courses with tangible and up-to-date referencing! Kudos CBS!

The lectures contained in the modules were all well-made and substantial. They helped me go deep into the topic of Strategic Management with the information and insights they contained. The course is focused in its attempt to define what Strategic Management is and how it is of supreme importance to the life of a business organization in today's volatile and constantly disrupted environment.

Very well articulated with good practical examples.
Can possibly have slightly longer videos. Right now, in all the courses, the videos seem to be a little too small. May be can stretch a little more, and also, have a flow of videos. Right now, a video, a supplementary material, I mean, the flow of listening gets disrupted and the focus shifts.
Please see if any changes can be made.

Compact, contemporary information in short videos, articles and papers. Really interesting and easy to get an overview of strategy. With lots of information of the relevant theories and their authors (also to go deeper and read more about them if you are interested). Robert Austin makes a really good job providing lots of information in easy to understand, enjoyable lectures.

So far, the best of the courses I've gone through on Coursera. Prof. Austin has made the difficult concepts of Strategic Management look so simple and easy to understand that even candidates with no prior management experience get really well versed with management techniques at the end of this course.
I'd strongly recommend all management students to take up this course.

This was my first online course and a brilliant one to begin with. It covered key concepts and very detailed learning. The highlight for me was the case-based approach which was a brilliant way of learning. Using familiar names and giving insights into their strategy helped understand the key concepts even better. Kudos to the lecturer and course coordinators.

A very unique perspective and analysis of pros and cons of some of the long standing Strategy Frameworks like Porter's 5 forces, BCG 2x2 Matrix. Detailed discussion of some of the pitfalls of these frameworks and what to be on the lookout for to avoid some common mistakes and how to build on these frameworks for successful strategy formulation.

This is how Coursra is supposed to be. Great lecturer using tangible examples to convey complex concepts. The videos and reading material are in a great ratio. The material is of high quality.
I am engineer, so I am only doing this "for fun", but if this was my field of expertise I would definitely pay for this course to get the accreditation.

Prof. Austin has done a good job in delivering the contents in an articulate manner. The concepts were told using not so difficult jargon & the examples he gave at various intervals were very relevant. I feel confident after having learnt the basics of strategy in this course. The curriculum is good & the pedagogy is quite engaging. Thanks!

The professor was well-spoken and organized this course in a way that was easy to understand and follow. I learned a few things about strategy, including what it is and what it isn't, and have a better understanding of how business strategy/strategic planning has evolved over time and different theories on gaining a competitive advantage.

Very interesting course. Seems they only mention previous strategy ideas as historical note and attempt to have students not focus on strategical diagrams (PESTLE, Five-Forces, SWAT, etc) but think of what's going on in modern strategy and business. Thus, have you consider new ideas that are coming out in regards to business strategy.
