This is a great course for writers at every level! I'm a graduate student in the humanities, so of course I had fairly decent writing skills already, but this gave me a much needed little boost in skill and motivation. Try it, whether you're a non-native speaker who wants to learn the basics, or a polished writer who just wants a few more tips and hints!

Professor Barry was the BEST. His style of teaching was incredible; It made the concepts to understand very easy. I really enjoyed the workshop videos. It would have been so fun to be in his workshops.

This is a dynamic, useful and interesting course. It incorporates a variety of learning material and styles. I would recommend it to people who want to brush up on skills and learn new ones. Prof Barry combines a diversity of learning examples to keep the course fresh, interesting and practical. I'm glad I took it.

I enjoy taking classes that challenge you. Writing and Editing is the type of class you will scream at your computer but determining it was not going to beat me I met the challenge and passed with a 90. If you need a class to kick start your skills, challenge your personal growth and take this class.

I enjoyed Professor Barry in this course. He was very good at explaining the information and used great examples. I also liked the supplementary materials provided with the course. Combined together will aid any individual in increasing their writing skills to be more effective and efficient.

Excellent, well-paced introduction into learning how to write professionally: for both beginners and experienced writers. Workload isn't too heavy, and the instructor is very direct yet empathetic with his teachings. You really may have quite a few epiphanies while going through this series.

Absolutely wonderful and engaging course on Improving one's command over the ENGLISH LANGUAGE - written in particular. I was totally bowled over by the erudition, the quizzes, the resources, and the lectures. The instructor was nonpareil. I wished I had done this during my halcyon years.

I am encouraged to read more and look for sentences I like. I can dissect these sentences and compare them to the lectures on what makes a good sentence. The Resource Library has an abundance of books and articles available to students that is worth more than the price of the course.

I learned a lot about how to become a better writer in a relatively short duration. Working professionals should consider joining this course as the knowledge of good writing acquired can really help you advance your careers. Terrific course contents and teaching by Professor Barry.

This course is a must to galvanize the writing style and pattern. The excellent reading materials support contextual learning and execution throughout the course. The citations and exercises throughout the course help in enhancing the standards of professional and personal writing.

I'm glad with all the materials that offer by this course. I could even find the a few of materials that is benefical for copywriting/ad campaign projects. It's amazing because this course is like kill two birds with one stone :)

The lectures are engaging and funny. You really do learn a lot. The samples/related literature cover a wide range, and you'll notice that they're kept updated, too, which is awesome. It's great if you wanna brush up on your grammar or need some ideas to be more creative.

Great course! I love all the examples and explanations. I don't remember my teachers in high school or college teaching some of this stuff. It is a well put together online class and I highly recommend this class if you want to improve your writing.

I believe this course will help me write differently. Although its methods are a bit confusing we are also explained that it is the best way of learning. This may be true. I am very motivated to put my pen back into my present and past papers.

not as much grammar involved as I expected, but I loved it - this course was what I needed to elevate the other skills involved in writing. I now have the tools to improve my skills on my own, and develop myself as a writer.
