The course is good and and is certainly not difficult as other users claim, as the instructor mentions that it is normal to not understand what the code is doing because it will be covered later. But the code on its own is not difficult. The course can be improved by making the learning a bit more interactive but I guess thats not on the part of the course developers. Its just how the coursera platform works. Looking forward to the next courses. The downside of the course is that the code snippet the instructor provides need some sort of googling to work as some of it is outdated but that is a blessing in disguise because it is a essential skill as a developer to be able to google your way out of the problems you are facing.

I suppose this is a decent introductory course to Android development, but I still feel it could have had more depth to it. It felt shallow and could have used more weeks to introduce more concepts about Android development, such as getting hands-on experience implementing the different Layouts to get a feel for how they work within the UI. I also saw a few typos here and there that I feel should have been fixed before posting the course to the public. A big company like Meta should definitely have the resources to afford people who know how to proofread properly. To me, it shows pure laziness to allow those errors to pass untouched. Hopefully the rest of the Specialization will improve.

While the course overall is informative, I found Module 3 to be somewhat confusing. The expectation to build an app is mentioned early on, but it’s not made clear that the actual project comes after several lessons. Many users, myself included, initially thought we needed to code along with the videos, only to realize later that the videos are demonstrations rather than hands-on exercises. This led to a lot of unnecessary time spent debugging and trying to follow along. A simple clarification at the start of the module, explaining when the actual project begins, would save time and prevent frustration.

I find this course very rich on the part of the information it provides, and this is both a point of strength and a point of weakness. As I have some previous information about the field, it has helped me a lot to digest new concepts. But nevertheless, I had the problem that in the course, concepts were substantially delved into theoretically and without graduation, and that's the opposite of how I learned in the Google course on the Coursera platform, so I ask you to focus on this point. As for the content, I liked it a lot and I want to attend more courses with you, thank you Meta!

This was first course of the specialization, nothing too serious we covered although we did a little bit of programming and the instructor did not explained the code by saying we will cover this in detail in upcoming courses. It was a good start for the beginning of the specialization. But course can be improved by making longer modules and adding more content in detail. Overall this course is best for those who don't have any technical background at all and starting their career as android app developer.

Very good Introductory course to Android App development. The course covers wide spectrum of topics from planning for the app development, requirements gathering, touching on App design and covering brief details explanation the Android Studio and moving building a video player project. The followings are feed back for the course improvements: - More practical example on Navigating and understanding Android Studio Interface - More practical Examples on App development with Android Studio

Nice start but explanation was very fast and not up to the level to understand which allows us to code anything. When you provided the codes and we copy paste it doesn't gain any knowledge. It will be useful if we type code ourself in the practice window. Android studio has changed a lot so video looks outdated and I have no clue where to paste the code and end up getting error despite of the correct code has pasted.

Solid course overall! My main issue is that it's a but covered in dust. Android Studio has updated its look since this course released. IT wasn't detrimental to my experience, but a couple of things were changed visually here and there, and I had to pause to find them.

Well, it's brief introduction the android app development process. You won't be able to creat apps by the end of the course, but you'll have a good idea about the process. There are a lot skills to learn before one can make apps. Happy learning everybody.

I followed along pretty well with this course but I wish there were a bit more video lectures and I wish they were a little bit longer that way the lecturer could explain in a bit more detail

If we get slides of lectures that could be more beneficial to revise the concepts, overall it was an excellent course

Everything was good, but I personaaly think it would be better if code is given as resource while playing the video
