Excelent course!

Absolutely the best front-end course I have seen so far. Incredibly clear, even though it teachs the most important concepts that even many practitioners do not know so well.

No, nope, where do I start? The robotic monolog or the constant repeating topic, or maybe it's the completely useless assignments(step by step instruction showing the answer is NOT how people actually learn). Entire course is a well made onboarding presentation to Facebook. NOPE.

There are better classes out there, this is a waste of my time, I really only finished it because I have a compulsion of must finish what I started.

Also please stop asking people to link their facebook profile in the assignments, not that I mind, oh wait, yeah, I actually do.

p.s. length on the left+middle+length on the right is NOT, i repeat NOT a pro tip, my 3-yr-old can tell you that. Joke's on me, that was the blaring sign telling me to "quit here RIGHT NOW!"

For being called an Introduction to Back End, there was few mentions of tech used in the back end stack as well as the course ended with the path for FRONT END developer certificate. Might just have been clerical error, but I feel like more discussion on backend could have been had. 3/5 for confusing title and feeling misleading. The instructor however was quite helpful to give an understanding of front end to give back end develeopers perspective, which I assume was the point?

Doesn't cover the basics of CSS and Bootstrap and it assume you have some knowledge about CSS and Bootstrap. Not beginner friendly but you still can make your with some external resources.

It is interesting and interactive but it is not so much about back-end.

This course is misleading because its named "Introduction to Back-End Development" but in reality its just an introduction to front-end web development, they also say that in the videos. Definitely not what i expected after i enrolled on the back-end software development professional certificate. Putting that on the side, the course wasnt bad. They could have gone in more depth regarding react.

possibly the worse online course ive ever taken. everything feels scripted and one sentence summaries. the parts i already knew were barely ok to follow along with. new material, like bootstrap, was a nightmare. i had to go on udemy and look at a normal teacher explain it where the student understanding is the goal... not doing the bare minimum and spending 20% of the lesson saying "now you know how to do xyz." im really hoping this is not what the rest of meta courses are like. again, this was the most painful "learn coding" experience ive had. and the part about coding for disabled access... lol, what a joke. their recommendation is to format your code nicely. they are more concerned about how they look than students actually learning.

waste of time, learn nothing, too much videos, half the link don't work. Not a good place to learn right now.

edit: and now, i can't access all pages names "lecture"... really, full of dead links that keep loading but no outcome.

re-edit: and now, can't access the forum... really good job on the website guys!

hey, instructors of meta front end development specialization professional courses provided by cousera in backend web development where they have introduce the core web development technologies like HTML and CSS and get opportunities to practice using them. You will also be introduced to modern UI frameworks such as Bootstrap and React that make it easy to create interactive user experiences. . with Commitment of 4 weeks of study, 4-8 hours/week. your course flow is so simple to follow and content is quite easy to absorb as it defines everything with level of increasing knowledge and tools & framework knowledge is unique and how actually a website and web application works it removed all the confusions between these two terms and how much html structure is important to translate on other side. the whole Coursera surprised me with its content and how smoothly these instructors are defining is best. thanks meta and thanks courser, I am looking forward for more and more from your side. add some amazing projects to make too it will be much better.

This is a typical introductory course, highlighting all the relevant information. Throughout the course, you are pointed to concepts you will learn about later, and relevant resources are provided for additional learning. Another upside to this course is the self-paced structure, allowing you to study at your own pace. It has its downside too, as I often forgot to continue at a regular pace. It was later on in the course that I utilized the "Learning Goals" feature offered by Coursera, which allowed me to schedule regular study times. I would recommend this course to anyone who wants to venture into Back-End web development.

This course will give you a great introduction to Web Developement. After completing this course you will get a bigger picture of how things move between front-end and back-end, along with many other necessary details on the subject. The only thing I felt missing was the connection with the teaching staff or any moderators. I noticed there were issues about which many learners were confused but I found no response from the team. I didn't see any place in the course where I can leave some feedback, thats why I am writing it here. Thanks

This course is of the utmost importance for all back end web developers since here the server logic are developed in an introductory way.

The initial course is one of the best courses I have taken since each topic that is developed goes hand in hand with a project which helps us to consolidate what we have learned. I consider one of the best decisions to have completed this course.

Thank you very much Coursera and Meta!

Sinceramente ayuda muchisimo, me gustaria un poco mas de ejercicios practicos, pero del resto todo excelete. Tendre que aprender aparte CSS que fue lo mas confuso para mi.

Sincerely it helps a lot, I would like a little more practical exercises, but otherwise everything excellent. I'll have to learn CSS, which was the most confusing thing for me.

This is a wonderful course, made with soul. This is a wonderful story in simple words about complex topics. Huge thanks to the amazing creators and Meta Corporation. I am a refugee from Ukraine studying to find a job and this course has been a huge support for me and my family during a difficult time after russia's dastardly attack on Ukraine.

A very good option for complete beginners but one needs more resources in order to master HTML and CSS as not everything can be covered. I suggest w3schools.com and developer.mozilla.org/en-US/ . There's also htmlreference.io and cssreference.io .

If you're not a complete beginner, you can check frontendmentor.io/resources .
