This course allowed me to learn a lot of new information related to cybersecurity! It aided my pre-existing knowledge in a decent way and allowed me to think of security incidents in a different way.

Pros: The sections on tailoring resumes for specific roles in cybersecurity were particularly useful. It emphasized the importance of aligning your resume with the job description, which is crucial in a competitive field. The advice on preparing for interviews, including how to handle unfamiliar software and the importance of reviewing job descriptions, was practical and actionable. The explanations of different parts of the resume and how to effectively communicate your skills and experiences were clear and concise. Cons: While the guide was comprehensive, it could benefit from more detailed examples of resume and cover letter samples specific to various cybersecurity roles. Additional tips on networking and building rapport in the industry would enhance the overall preparation strategy.

The entire course was decent, though the one on Python left a lot to be desired when it came to actually understanding how to use the language. A big issue however is the fact that the discount code for the CompTIA Cys+ exam does not work! I was actually looking forward to being able to take the exam, especially if it was discounted down from $400, only to find that the code doesn't work. Coursera/Google, check these things.

This course is very good for a beginner. But you will need at least the Security + plus a portfolio of more well known labs and projects before you will at least get an interview. But yes very good start for a beginner with no experience. Thanks you helped me with a jumpstart into this career after being sem-retired for almost 5 years.

I suggest restructuring Module 4 (Python) into two parts. The first part should focus on foundational Python concepts. The second part could introduce more complex applications gradually. By breaking down the content and offering step-by-step guidance, it can help learners get a better grip on the topics without feeling overwhelmed.

Course is great, I just wish some of it was optional or you could test out of the materials. Not everyone is taking the course for changing careers or trying to start out as entry-level IT/Cybersecurity analyst, some of us are upgrading, refreshing skills or complementing skills based on our existing careers.
