About the Course

This is the second of seven courses in the Google Advanced Data Analytics Certificate. The Python programming language is a powerful tool for data analysis. In this course, you’ll learn the basic concepts of Python programming and how data professionals use Python on the job. You'll explore concepts such as object-oriented programming, variables, data types, functions, conditional statements, loops, and data structures. Google employees who currently work in the field will guide you through this course by providing hands-on activities that simulate relevant tasks, sharing examples from their day-to-day work, and helping you enhance your data analytics skills to prepare for your career. Learners who complete the seven courses in this program will have the skills needed to apply for data science and advanced data analytics jobs. This certificate assumes prior knowledge of foundational analytical principles, skills, and tools covered in the Google Data Analytics Certificate. Great course! Very helpful for beginner Python learners especially for learning key concepts. Jupyter notebooks, Pandas, Numpy, Tuples, Lists, etc are some of the interesting concepts covered.

No one grades your project at the end, so that is a bit disappointing. But I guess it's ultimately on you either way whether you are prepared going into interviews with these skills. The combination of videos and readings were very helpful. Most of the time it was clear what previous material I was to use to complete an assignment.

This is a pretty good course. The quizzes are a bit easy. And even though the Specialization has "Advanced" in title, it is not all that advanced. But I recommend it to get started after completing the "Data Analytics" Specialization from Google.

A very good crash course on python, especially NumPy, pandas and jupyter... If you have prior programming experience than it'll be easier, for a total novice this may take longer than the course deadline...
