I absolutely enjoyed and learned a lot about happiness from this course. I will definitely recommend it to my peers, as it gets me to the core from my misconceptions to developing the right practices.

Fabulous course. I learned a lot of does and doesn't make us happy, and learned valuable tools for introducing and integrating new habits into my life that will definitely contribute to my well-being.

I have 2 college degrees, one master degree and have taken a few online courses till know, but this is the best ever. Have taught me how to see things in a more clear and satisfactory way. to live in a more conscious and happy way. I am sharing a lot of this course tips with friend and students.It introduce me to interesting books and Ted talks too. I think I will take it again!

Love and like this course very much. The teacher is so clear, helpful with all of her info as well as knowledge. The syllabus is rich, understandable and easy to follow. The only minus point is Certificate is not written your name on it but "Coursera Learner" which I am not prefer at all. Should be written with the full name of the Learner as it is something so worth to be name.

This course not only teaches the science and research related to happiness and well-being but also discusses ways to implement this knowledge into your daily life. I've learned a lot about myself and have engaged in active self-reflection and data collection to really assess and work towards my values. I found this class engaging, interesting, and undeniably relevant to my life.

Even though I have healthy habits established and a happy outlook on life, last year really threw me for a loop and it helped to go through this class during it. The research Laurie presents and techniques like WOOP and reference points really pushed me to keep making my happiness a priority using information I learned during the course. I couldn’t recommend this course enough!!

Laurie Santos is a great presenter and this was a great course to do especially during the pandemic. I confidently can say I have a better outlook of life, and I've learned to deal with certain things a different way because of it. I'm more relaxed..thanks to what I learned in this course. Thank you for making this available and I look forward to taking more courses on Coursera!

A fantastic way to start your journey to a better life (and a better version of yourself). Laurie Santos is a formidable engaging and fun instructor, and time flies as you feel you are chatting amongst friends. The amount of resources linked to in the course is great and I already have many more hours of reading planned just to finish all the books and articles referenced there!

Tomar este curso fue una experiencia maravillosa. I was very engaged with this course. The material presented and discussed was so relevant to me and my life (as I am sure it was for others living through thepandemic). I loved this course! I think it really helped me to work on my mental health in a positive way, especially during a difficult time in my life in which I was going through a breakup and dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic and isolation. I will definitely continue implementing the practices I learned in the course in my daily life. I have recommended it to several friends as well.

Excelente curso! Vale muito a pena! A teoria é apresentada de forma leve e, ao mesmo tempo, com a profundidade adequada. Há entrevistas com autores de importantes estudos, que ajudam ainda mais a entender os temas e as dificuldades associadas. This was a great class and one I would definitely recommend for others to take. I enjoyed Professor Santos and found her very easy to follow and understand. She was very engaging in her videos and a true master of her craft. The course was easy to follow and laid out very well. This course was very enlightening and definitely opened my mind to a newer way of viewing things.

I am grateful for this course. It was really useful, especially at this corona time. Thanks to the course I understood more about how our mind works, how tricky it could be and how to deal with it.
I was also enjoying the practice of building new habits. It is not as simple as I thought from the beginning, but I'll continue with it.

This class is a must for anyone who wants to deepen the quality of life they are currently experiencing. This course is not set up like a simple "to do" list and then leaves you adrift. You are given, solid measurable tools and skills and then you self assess how you applied them. I guarantee if you utilize just one of the skills in this course you will be happier in your life.

The overall content is very strong. The videos, the lectures are all worth reading and following along to get the best benefit out. I wanted to learn about being happier, a better sense of well-being. I believe the course definitely achieved that. I feel happier and I think there's a lot to reflect on and come back to, to continue my journey of bringing happiness into my life.

Course provide a welcome push during the height of CoVid-19 lock-down and other events unfolding in my life. It was excellent to be reminded about or learn new aspects of the science of happiness (well-being). I enjoyed Dr. Santos' lectures and insights into the subject and greatly appreciate the encouragement she regularly provided. Thank you for this learning opportunity.

I loved this course! It was very practical, doable, and you get a lot of information! Sometimes the lectures were a bit too long for my liking. Now there is nothing to stop me from becoming happier in my day to day life! I will have more gratitude for the life I live and live more intentionally! I really want to thank Yale and Laurie for keeping me busy in these strange times!

I really enjoyed this course and I hope that I can actively put some of these practices into my life. Thank you Prof for changing my worldview on a lot of things. I previously really wanted a job with high income and got really upset when I got bad grades, but I am going to look above these material aspects and focus more on being in the moment and appreciating now. Dr. Santos, you’ve forced me to re-evaluate my happiness at the most unhappy time of my life and I can’t thank you enough. Consumerism has failed immensely to teach us how to truly be happy and your course has been a refreshing realization. A fantastic learning opportunity to understand both the empirical science of positive psychology and emotional wellbeing counterpointed with behaviour change concepts to learn how we develop and build positive habits. Learning was collegiate and practical and as a newbie to online courses, this was a great introduction to the world of continuous development online. Thanks all!

Interesting, worth of time invested, provided all important papers and readings to extend the knowledge. Laurie really grabbed my hand and pulled me through the science of wellbeing, leaving me at the end with ease and smile, even at the times of (inevitable) struggle. I am not 100% time happy now, I am just more aware how to act to live a higher quality life.

This course helped me get through the pandemic. It taught me so much about rewiring and shifting our attention to what we thought is making us happy versus the things that truly make us happy. This course actually breaks down something as ephemeral as well-being -- specific components and practical steps to improve this feeling are offered and insights into how we sabotage ourselves are very helpful in trying to form new and productive habits of behavior and thought that lead to improved feelings of contentment and well-being. Very enjoyable and very constructive!
