Very good and useful practice of SQL. The JOIN party is pretty hardcore so I definitely couldn't master it but got enough of an understanding where I could learn quickly with some on the job training.

An excellent course for learning analysis techniques using Spreadsheets and SQL. Recommended for all engineering and data science students as well as for those managing businesses and human resource.

I was really enjoying and understanding concepts pretty easily during the first 4 modules od the certificate. Now, in this module I am really struggling even though I had some notions on the topics, the trainer goes from level 1 to level 8 in the same video, making incredibly complicated queries, and/or introducing 3-4 new concepts. I gotta say I am feeling a bit upset, overwhelm for such a change in the course delivery methodology!

I feel like this was the worst course so far. The information became challenging as well as fast paced. I don't feel that I genuienly learned much from this course in compared to other courses that can help me be a data analyst. This course just seemed like a part 2 of the previous course rather than a separate course in entirety like the rest of the courses seemed to be. The teacher was not too great either.

The course is about the basic software tools available to perform data organization and not about the actual data analysis. Even a junior data analyst needs to think on the job. Tools are there to aid the thinking. How to think (approach to problems), what to look for, examples of basic and fundamental analytical calculations/functions, where to start an analysis, etc. should be taught as well.

Pretty bad instructor, worst till now. Doesn't speak clearly and loudly, has a depressing facial expression towards the course and work. So many mistakes in this Analyse course, mostly comprises of links, doesn't explain the statements that she is writing differently. Had you people allowed the previous instructors to continue, course would be far more enthusiastic.

From the perspective of a novice, the pace of the individual lessons - especially complex topics covered in videos - was WAY too fast. There were too many times that I had to seek outside information to grasp and learn the concepts that were being taught. So far, this has been my least favorite course of the Google Data Analytics Program.

1. The audio wildly changes between videos. 2. I feel like the SQL content needs to be better explained in a general way for those who are first time learners to SQL. 3. The questions all seem very similarly phrased when learning a new topic: When will you use ___ next? How will ____ improve you as an analyst? Very general questions.

Lessons were not well taught. The SQL practices were confusing and not well explained. It was too fast and too difficult, the transition in speed and difficulty was not at par with how the other courses went. The course instructor was NOT good at all. the course needs serious improvement as well as the instructor

Super disappointed that so many of the queries didn't work when we followed each specific direction.
I truly wasted like 5 extra hours only to find out that there was a fix in the discussion section, but it was not given in the course itself.
(as a heads up, or by the way..)
Class 5 really needs to be updated.

This course should be renamed "Analyze Data in Spreadsheets". It is disappointing that Google decided to focus this entire Career Certificate on Spreadsheets when the defining skills for Data Analysts & Scientists nowadays seem to be SQL Databases and Programming (generally Python).

The content of the first two weeks were good and understandable, but for week 3 and 4 the teacher went too fast with SQL (I understand spreadsheets so probably if you are a beginner the functions she explained would be confusing as well...).
Did not feel like a beginner's class...

This part of the 8-course journey I'm going through is not bad, but it's the worst so far. This being said because of it's rushed rhythm. This was the only course that made me have to look for more information in another sites in order to fully understand what was being taught.

To be honest, the instructor was very bad. She was not explaining the SQL expressions, instead she was reading and speaking. Also many more was expected from Analysis phase of Data Analytics (Statistics rather than sorting and filtering)
Not happy with this part of course.

If you look at the forum, you can probably got a feeling of the course especially on the SQL material. The forum probably is biased as people tend not to post anything if they don't have a problem. Still I guess it's a valid peak to the sense of the course. Thank you.

This course is very heavy on external links for reading and learning. Some of the links go way beyond what was covered within the course. Tests are a step down from the ones in previous courses in the specialization. It feels like this course is not fully developed.

Example for subquery was so hard to follow, may be find a simplier case to explain what subquery is.
Do not use too many of the public data/spreadsheet, it is good to show how to upload but too many uploaded spreadsheet and use it for only 1 task doesn't make sense.

I feel like explanations in this course were a lot worse than in earlier courses. For example many explanations weren't visualized at screen. And Excel is a lot more popular than Google Sheets so it would be great to see how pivot tabels works in Excel too.

There were a lot of errors and I felt the instructor could have explained things better. Instead of writing instructions on how to type the sql queries, just screenshot the query and write instructions as to why we are using statements/clauses/functions.

In summary, this course lacks consistency in content delivery, fails to introduce new topics in the initial weeks, and poorly explains complex concepts like nested queries while overemphasizing simpler ones. I was too eager to finish this course ASAP.

This was my least favorite module. The instructor spoke too fast and went through examples too quickly. I had to rewatch and reread stuff over and over to get it. She also spoke too low it was hard to hear what she said most of the time.

Did not enjoy the tutorial guide on this one. A noticeable attitude shift from the bright and bubbly Sally before this course. This lecturer seems quite cold and a lot of the times rushes through the SQL/Spreadsheet tutorial prompts.

Terrible SQL course. Insanely frustrated with how they deliver the information, literally threw them at your face with minimum explanation on how the syntax work. Highly recommend other SQL because this course is a waste of money

SQL is something that they advertise everyone is using in the real world yet in reality the only people who use it are cubical workers in Napa Valley. Not going to use this tool for your line of work in almost anywhere you go.

Not enough practice with VLOOKUP and SUBQUERIES. Stuck on Subquery Lesson, example 1, step 15. I am copying the code exactly and not getting the intended results. Not sure how I can proceed or get help on this section.

The instructor is not well-versed in teaching. I was familiar with most concepts already and found minimum trouble in understanding the videos but for a person with little to no knowledge, it will be super difficult.

There were multiple times that the formulas given gave error messages, even when copy and pasted exactly. Frustrating because I couldn't finish the example/practice and didn't know what was wrong or how to fix it.
