I just finished the 2nd Course in the Google Data Analyst course - even though I have experience in the field, this course reminded of areas that I should focus on and work to strengthen my skills in.

The Skill of asking the right questions is usually very underrated and many people just overlook it. That's why I'm appreciative of google for teaching this core skill and making it super interesting.

I know the big selling point for this program is being able to complete it regardless of one's background, but at times this course felt overly simplistic. Going into such detail on such fundamental skills felt a little drawn out for me.

Definitely tougher than the last course. Too many times there were quiz questions with answer choices using terms we hadn't learned yet. Very nerve-racking when you are new to a subject. Overall I was satisfied with what I learned.

My only issue is that some questions really don't make sense. They are too vague and could be interpreted a million different ways depending on your own business structure, goals, and expectations. More specific questions, please!

I felt that this course focus a bit too much on definitions, and didn't have enough practical skill based labs. While I appreciate the communications aspect, I feel it would be better to focus on hard skills before soft skills.

The course was mostly about spreadsheets formulas and functions and about the types of questions which a data analyst should be asking himself and the stakeholders, before/once he takes up a project and start his analysis.

It's good to know about useful things like spreadsheets but it wasn't enough. Again like the first course, the second course also contain a lot of talking a little of doing. Also the discussion areas aren't helpful at all.

The course was a bit drawn out. I found the narration of the text very boring. Just watching a person speak in almost a monotone. The final exam was nice. Actual analysis. Need to have more of such situational discussions.

The transmissibility of the instructor was a little bit difficult to follow, in comparison with the other instructors of the courses before and ahead, that were much more energetic, alive and clear in the video lessons..

Good course, though largely similar to the first course in the specialization. This course does provide an introduction to spreadsheets, but otherwise is a lot of soft skill development that sometimes feels subjective.

This course covers theoritical aspects of how to deal with day-to-day activities at the workplace, like communication through email etc. This should have been the last part of the course as a behavioral study.

The weeks on asking effective questions are not appropriate for the format of this course. There is no opportunity to receive meaningful feedback that would help a future data analyst prepare for a project.

The data analytics aspect of this course was great but I found the parts about workplace behaviour (e.g how to hold a meeting / how to deal with conflict) to be an odd and unnecessary inclusion.

Some of the examples seemed not related to the topics at all and the first 2 weeks left me with a lot of questions. The readings were the biggest plus, they were very well structured and direct.

I found the second half of this course to be pretty self explainatory and not really relevant to what I was learing to be a data analyst; it's more of an application/interview prep mini-lesson.

I felt that much of the material was for those new to being in a professional business role. The information was good, but not new for someone who has already worked in a professional setting.

The weeks were a bit all over the place. I did not find everything aligned with the ask phase of the data analysis cycle. I believe that the week on spreadsheets should have been placed later.

I went out of order and didn't watch much of the course videos and still passed handily. Not too much new here honestly, unless you are inexeperienced at meetings and business communication.

Focusing too much on the work process instead of teaching the actual tools needed. Less focus on teamwork and in-office stuff, and more on the actual work and tools that will be necesarry.

All the extra documents that had to be opened to answer the questions, in week 4 of Course 2 graded quiz, made it confusing and it seemed unnecessary. But it was too much extra documents.

Good course for developing people skills but I wish there were more technical assignments integrated with SQL and Python. There are (technically) but you have to enroll in other courses.

Amazing content very well explained. The only down side is that towards the end of the course the google documents link wasn't working and had to ask for permission that was not granted.

Si tiene puntos importantes, pero creo que hay temas que no son relevantes cosas que no son tan necesarias, se pudo haber practicado más con hojas de calculo en lugar de otros temas.

Great teaching and theory. Disappointed with the practical work. The course often felt like a sales pitch for IBM Clouldant then a training course on how to use the product.

This course was helpfull. The desing of course could be improved. I do not get why spreadsheet has been added to ask part while it has to do more with the analysation part.

I love the course. It gives more knowledge about calculation using excel or spreadsheet. It gives insight about having an effective communication and leading great meeting
