The training materials and samples are quite outdated. The main focus was Azure Functions and only some sporadic references to Logic Apps or Web Jobs.

Beware: While the first 3 weeks can be completed on Linux, the course requires Visual Studio in week 4 which is not available on Linux.

Nice Course To Learn Azure Functions and serverless Architecture

The information provided is valuable and the exercises are very instructive. However, Microsoft has several inconsistencies in their documentation and tutorials. Several times I had to look up solutions to problems with the instructions/code given in the tutorial pages. Sometimes I could not find a solution (or the solution was too involved in correcting already packaged code), so had to settle for learning about the functionality just by reading the task descriptions. In such cases, looking up the tutorial name in a search engine tended to help in finding solutions when necessary. The documentation is constantly improving so hopefully the errors will be corrected sometime soon. Just be warned that you may have to troubleshoot a bit in the practices/examples.

I am very disappointed in the quality and accuracy of the material presented. Not only is this material available for free on Microsoft Learn, but the content is also outdated. The hands-on practice sections use older versions of tools, and the sandbox environments are not always set up correctly. There is also a lack of consistency. I decided to learn how to create a function using JavaScript with Node.js, but when doing the exercise 'Create and test a simple Azure Function locally with Visual Studio,' I was only offered the option to do it in C# on .NET.

Basically out-sourced to Microsoft learn which is freely available, don't waste your money on this and just go straight to Microsoft Learn.

it was good in general, but the content must be updated, also the official documentation is not up to date. But I was able to learn a lot from it.

I had high hopes for this AZ-204 preparation course on Coursera, but unfortunately, it has been a frustrating and disappointing experience. The biggest issue is that many of the labs simply don't work as intended. Instead of focusing on learning the actual course material, I’ve spent hours debugging unrelated issues and browsing forums to figure out how to fix problems just to get the provided code running. These issues aren’t part of the exercises—they’re just technical errors that should have been resolved by the course creators. For a paid course, I expected a smooth and professional learning experience. It feels like a scam to pay for a course where so much of the content is broken or inaccessible. Labs not launching properly and code riddled with unnecessary errors completely derailed my focus and wasted my time. If you're considering this course for AZ-204 prep, be warned—you’ll likely spend more time fixing broken labs than actually studying for the exam. I hope Coursera and the instructors address these issues because, as it stands, this course is not worth the investment

not all questions asked are answered in class, and some of the coding assignments don't work
