About the Course

Management consultants are paid well because they help executives to break down complex problems, make difficult decisions, and implement lasting change. Consultants know how to work smart and fast. Companies like McKinsey, Bain, BCG, Deloitte, EY, PWC, KPMG, and Accenture have trained thousands of consultants on useful skills, tools, methodologies. Taught by an ex-consultant from Deloitte, John Kim will give you a quick introduction to management consulting: • What do management consultants do? • What are the benefits of a consulting career? • How can you learn these consulting skills? • Why do clients hire management consultants? • What is an example of a consulting skill? This is the first course in the specialization on management consulting....

Productive and simplified for the beginners . This definitely provided direction and initial strategy for people who are new to consultancy. It wold be of great help if some information are placed ( bit more rather ) for people who have or intend to join consulting after decent work experience .

Great course! It gave me an initial understanding of the management consulting profession. If I were to offer a suggestion, I think that as an introductory course, it would be even better if the explanations could highlight which future courses will delve deeper into each topic.

John Kim's ability to effectively communicate consulting reflects how true the saying is that "you are what you teach". After learning from many practitioners online, Mr Kim has by far been the most enjoyable to learn from.

Assessment projects are of short duration and are akin to diagnostic analysis while implementation projects are of longer duration aiming at change in its fullest sense and are like treatment is an eye opener for me. I heard the word: "Implementation' during several decades of my work life (SAP Implementation/Six-sigma implementation etc). I took it at its face value and did not know that it is a buzz word in consulting literature. I am 71 years old and a retired CMA working a part time management consultant to Reliance Finance Academy in Mumbai, India. To appreciate my contribution over the last quarter century, they made me a " Management Consultant" to advise their Finance Academy ( I was heading it since 2002 and its inception). I feel guilty that I may not deserve this title! I come across this specialization and want to complete it so that I feel confident that I possess the skill set to be a real Management Consultant. I also want to be proficient in AI based Management Consulting as I already completed more than a dozen popular AI courses from the coursera. I want to learn and equip myself to deserve what I am fortunate to have in this world of tough competition.

I recently took a course on management consulting and I am thrilled with the experience. The course was well-structured and informative, providing me with a comprehensive understanding of the consulting industry.

The instructors were knowledgeable and experienced professionals who shared valuable insights and practical tips that helped me to develop my skills and competencies as a consultant. The course was also interactive, with plenty of opportunities for group work and case studies that enabled me to apply the concepts I learned in a real-world context.

Overall, I would highly recommend this course to anyone interested in pursuing a career in management consulting or anyone looking to enhance their consulting skills. It was a fantastic learning experience that left me feeling confident and well-prepared to tackle any consulting challenge that comes my way.
