This Course was incredible. It was informative as well as very easy to handle. Complete details were provided at each level so that the students don't feel any sort of difficulty while learning.

This course surprised me in its applicability to software development. It is a great first course in establishing a foundation of programming before actually doing any programming itself.

Over all, this course is very good a at giving the student a solid lay of the land and the innerworkings of the process of software development. I took this course as an experienced programmer of many years, but I fear that a beginner might struggle when it comes to the more technical questions, as the course is relatively short it often mentions important things only once. Furthermore there are 2 or so, poorly phrased questions that even after reviewing I felt was a bit to ambiguous but other than that I have no complaints. I would recommend this course if you have some level of technical knowledge and experience in programming. The content is very thorough but condensed and does not dwell on topics very long. Thank you for reading, I hope this review provides some value.

I loved this program. I really felt like it introduced me to all of the fundamentals of software engineering. I think the structure was a little scattered though. For example, words like component were used in early modules but only explained in later ones. On a brighter note however, I really enjoyed the hands-on projects and assignments. I loved the structured freedom and the space it gave me to learn and practise basic coding. It really gave me a positive first glance into the world of programming. Thank you!

Nice

The Introduction to Software Engineering course was exceptional. The instructor's knowledge and teaching style were impressive, and the course materials were well-organized and relevant. The hands-on projects and interactive discussions enriched the learning experience. Overall, a highly recommended course for anyone interested in software engineering.

It is an amazing cource for those people who want to review the softwere engineering fundamentals or have some IT infrastructure, but I think it's not for bigenners as discribed. In some topics, they just mentiened head titles, which is good for people who have a backgrownd about the subject, but that made it confusing for bigenners.

A lot of the portions are theoritical and speak in a complex, hard to understand vocabulary of technical terms, specifically the beginning modules, which causes difficulty in retaining the information(knowledge) of the concepts near the end of the course. It would be beneficial to like have them explained from a very basic level.

I could have rated this course 5 stars, but there's one thing I would like to point out. The course is good enough, but it is packed with a lot of theoretical presentations. It would have been more enjoyable if it was mixed with a good amount of practical activities to stimulate learning.

Nonetheless, I have learned a lot.

This course is all about intro to software engineering. Throughout this course, I learned about software engineering basics such as SDLC, Different architectural patterns, and software engineering career paths. This course is a better choice for those recently entering the software engineering field.

This is a course full of definitions and some practice exercises involving python. There were some bugs in the exercises but, not a big deal. The instructors were very responsive and helpful. I really enjoyed learning about the software engineering careers in week 5.

I enjoyed this course and it made me gain more interest to want to learn more so I can execute in this career field. Except that i could not view the backend lecture in one of the video modules. i have been emailing the coursera team and still got no help.

I found this course too much theoretical. I think we are going to be a programmer so we should focus more upon programming, learning coding. While the theoretical knowledge is important as well and I understand that it's the beginning of complete course.

El curso esta bastante bueno. Lo que me juega en contra es el no entender ingles.

Traduzco todo online pero muchas veces no entiendo expresiones o conceptos, por eso mismo trato de mirar video tutoriales en español en paralelo al curso.

A very detailed and in-depth over view of Software Engineering. There are several sections where maybe they go to far into the weeds for an introductory over view of the field, but that is not a bad thing at all in my opinion.

This course was great and the best part was the practical part. It was simple but it was great. If you add more practical part it will be more fun than theoretical education.

Pauses are needed when transitioning to different topics.. at times I guess we students get confused when does a sub topic start within the video and when does it end
