About the Course

Analyzing data with Python is an essential skill for Data Scientists and Data Analysts. This course will take you from the basics of data analysis with Python to building and evaluating data models. Topics covered include: - collecting and importing data - cleaning, preparing & formatting data - data frame manipulation - summarizing data - building machine learning regression models - model refinement - creating data pipelines You will learn how to import data from multiple sources, clean and wrangle data, perform exploratory data analysis (EDA), and create meaningful data visualizations. You will then predict future trends from data by developing linear, multiple, polynomial regression models & pipelines and learn how to evaluate them. In addition to video lectures you will learn and practice using hands-on labs and projects. You will work with several open source Python libraries, including Pandas and Numpy to load, manipulate, analyze, and visualize cool datasets. You will also work with scipy and scikit-learn, to build machine learning models and make predictions. If you choose to take this course and earn the Coursera course certificate, you will also earn an IBM digital badge....

perfect for beginner level. all the concepts with code and parameter wise have been explained excellently. overall best course in making anyone eager to learn from basics to handle advances with ease.

I started this course without any knowledge on Data Analysis with Python, and by the end of the course I was able to understand the basics of Data Analysis, usage of different libraries and functions.

The performance of this specific course followed the tendencies in the whole Data Analyst specialization. 1. Not even a single time did I see the tutors of the course. While attending the classes I was constantly under the strange impression that some robots were teaching and not real humans (woman voices probably generated by AI). Some of the lessons were interconnected but were taught by different teachers with different teaching styles. There were some moments when the next lesson was repeating ideas from the previous ones but in such a way as if they were mentioned for the first time. There weren't rare the cases when the audio quality suffered from poor recording and changed abruptly at some points in the video. 2. Unfortunately the videos were too short and not explanatory enough. Much of the essential information was passed as if in a hurry, in a rush and not in details. For novices (and even for more proficient Python developers) this kind of information surely is not self-sufficient and leads to long searching in Google, YouTube, etc. 3. The estimated duration of the labs in most of the cases did not correspond to the reality. To me personally those of the labs which were marked to take 30-45 minutes were taking me twice more time. The layout of the Jupiter notebooks was not good at all. There were unforgivable grammatical mistakes in the texts and in the instructions. 4. The chapter dedicated to linear regression models barely touched the mathematical terminology and the details about the methods themselves. This explanation is necessary, it is a must for every good educational resource on the important topic of Machine Learning! Such details cannot and ought not to be spared! 5. Since the very start of the specialization I have not received even a single certificate but I have paid lots of money for this education. I am aware that all kinds of certificates here are automatically generated and after I did not obtain such one on completing the first course, I thought that it was a temporarily broken algorithm. But now, after 8 courses, I think there is no error in the algorithm. Perhaps I should contact someone to resolve the issue?

A lot of improvement and updates must be done, it's really poorly explained and definitely not for beginners , if i put put myself in a beginner's shoes there is no way i would understand this. 90% of the LABs have issues or not working, getting help from support is a nightmare. This is definitely not how to teach people with zero knowledge, they won't make. I hope that you will take your time and improve it this time because so many people already left 1 star reviews from years ago but still no improvement. I even wonder how this got a 4 stars rate.

This is the 7th of the 10 modules of IBM data science certificate :

What is Data Science? Tools for Data Science Data Science Methodology Python for Data Science, AI & Development Python Project for Data Science Databases and SQL for Data Science with Python ==> Data Analysis with Python Data Visualization with Python Machine Learning with Python Applied Data Science Capstone

A very dense module, specially the week 5. Labs are confuse and should be reviewed and restructured.

By far the most important module for now, and unfortunately the worst too.

Once again, the course forces you to use IBM Cloud, a service which on its free version is completely unreliable.

If you want to learn python, I suggest any other resource on the internet, in which you will spend your time learning to code, instead of dealing with the problems of using IBM Watson Studio. Or if you're looking to validate your knowledge, I also suggest looking for any other course, and not IBM's.

Don't lose hope if you are new to the Python data libraries and this course made you feel like you couldn't grasp it. I have 3 professional Python certifications - this was by far the worst and most poorly-explained (at times, flat out incorrect) Python learning resource I have come across ever.

This is kind of a fraud Coursera is doing with the professionals. I've been trying to submit my assignments, but it's always showing "upgrade to submit". I'm not understanding, Why will I purchase the same course again when I have purchased it already

hello,

I am very mad with registering accounts ibm.

I paid 40$ each month. The course lasts 11 months, and I have only 1 month trial permission.

Do not mention promotion codes. I interupted when I used it.

Bad experiences.

I didn't like how the information was presented and how the code was explained. The workshops were not loyal to what was explained and included a lot of unknown code. I think this course could improve a lot.

Many labs don't work properly and advanced mathematical concepts are not explained well enough to be able to apply them. Too much, too fast and the labs don't work - including the final lab for the course!

The course was fine. BUT the final lab does not work and caused me to waste a month on my assignments. It is a real hassle and customer service was horrible and wasted more of my time.

Longest course and the most boring one. The quizes have some problem even the correct ans are corrected and incorrect . The questions seem to change change their mind on the answers!!!

The course is asking to login in IBM Watson for completion, and my IBM Watson account has been expired, and I dont want to share any payment information with IBM Watson.

glitchy and disjointed. they need to work on this course so you can actually learn something and not have the course materials mess up just to complete an assignment

This course isn´t offering value, every automata can follow this course and pass it. I´m looking courses which can help me improve my professional skills.

Typos and mistakes in the quizz, phrasing of questions is misleading. Meant for beginners but with all mistakes hard to learn the right way.
