I love this course. It's broken down to simple bits which makes it easy to understand. I didn't like the polls that pop up in the videos but that's just a small thing compared to the value I received.

I didn't realize that when I signed up for the course that I would need to have a peer-graded video presentation with a shot of myself from the waist up. The teacher heavily underestimated the time that it would take students to put together presentations. He also said that several of the quizzes would take 5 or so minutes, even though they were longer than quizzes I've taken in other Coursera classes that were much shorter and had 30 minutes allotted to them. The videos are compelling. The lectures are great. The one sticking point for me in this course wasn't the presentation that I had to complete, although the amount of time you can spend on refining a good presentation and video is fairly long, especially if you fall closer to the 4-minute end of the spectrum and do deep research on the suggested topics. The biggest sticking point was that there weren't any projects for me to grade to complete the course at the end. I had to come back multiple times to Coursera to check if there was anything I could possibly grade so I could complete the class. I recognize that Coursera can't guarantee that there will be anything in the queue for me to grade, but I was stressed out about whether or not anything would appear before the course deadline, since the required grading section only opened up after you submitted your presentation.

The videos are awesome, but the MOOC itself has not been audited very well by the course admin staff. There are lots of grammatical errors detracting focus from the message. As well, many reference links for reading material are broken / lead to wrong info. The material itself is very well prepared, but it seems like the MOOC itself is "fire and forget." There is definitely worthy material, but be advised if you have high expectations from the University of Toronto MOOC...
