About the Course

This is the third course in the Google Data Analytics Certificate. As you continue to build on your understanding of the topics from the first two courses, you’ll be introduced to new topics that will help you gain practical data analytics skills. You’ll learn how to use tools like spreadsheets and SQL to extract and make use of the right data for your objectives, and how to organize and protect your data. Current Google data analysts will continue to instruct and provide you with hands-on ways to accomplish common data analyst tasks with the best tools and resources. Learners who complete this certificate program will be equipped to apply for introductory-level jobs as data analysts. No previous experience is necessary. By the end of this course, learners will: - Find out how analysts decide what data to collect for analysis. - Learn about structured and unstructured data, data types, and data formats. - Discover how to identify different types of bias in data to help ensure data credibility. - Explore how analysts use spreadsheets and SQL within databases and data sets. - Examine open data and the relationship between, and importance of, data ethics and data privacy. - Gain an understanding of how to access databases and extract, filter, and sort the data they contain. - Learn best practices for organizing data and keeping it secure....

I love how the course it's not limited to teach about the technical skills of a data analyst professional, but it also helps you discover some soft skills that make you a better human resource.

this and the other modules in the suite that I have taken so far, are simple talking-head courses with very little student input or activity and very low-level challenge. Only stubbornness make me persist.

A few modules were really hard to understand. There were many variations between the platforms and the course material. It would be easier to have video guides than written instructions.

The lectures were too monotnous compared to the previous two courses. I wish the SQL and Kaggle parts were shown and demonstrated step by step in gretaer detail in the video lectures.

Los videos explicativos de SQL estan muy desactualizados y por ende al momento de interacturar con Bitquery se hace un poco dificil encontrar las opciones que indica la profesora.

i learned alot with the videos and readings.

I don't like that i have to go to the discussion page. It would be way more convenient for there to be a "common questions asked " area

I was experiencing some issues with Module 4 - Follow along video. I could not duplicate what the instructor was doing in his video. I was getting an error message on my screen.

Super fast instructor. Not most of people doing the course will have English as first language. It was hard to keep up, and I couldn't understand that easy some of the concepts.

It is hard for me to follow the SQL exercise on mac, maybe it is due to os system issue. Overall, I don't have a great comment on this course compare with the previous two.

Good practice with SQL and filtering and sorting practices. The directions to use BiqQuery are out of date, and required datasets do not pin to project as easily as said.

The course is fine. The coursera website is glitchy. When you complete a course, it does not take you to the next course. It does not offer the certificate immediately.

Mostly ok, but some sections tested in things that didn't show up until later in the course. The SQL section especially seemed to be out of order and had redundancy.

Week 3 was extremely hard to follow because the Big Query website wasn't the same to the course. I get that they make changes often but it made it difficult.

Some of the exercises and self-reflections seem repetitive and unrelated to the material. These feel more like course filler than anything of practical use.

Every course is good. But unfortunatly a very lenghty course... You guys can make it short even in half of duration... Save your time and our. Thank you...

A few points of confusion for me include stating that metadata isn't used in data analytics and also stating the encryption isn't part of data privacy.

This course is tought with lots of SQL challenges and information buried in documents. This one has taken me the longest out of the courses thus far.

some chapters had a poor guidance. Kaggle tasks and assignments come without much explanation, either. This course was a bit stressful and too fast.

It was a solid course, outside of the middle of the course where the BigQuery videos DO NOT match up to the current version of BigQuery at all.

Learning Kaggle was a bit confusing, I still don't have the best understanding of it.

But, the offsite hands on learning activities were fun.

I enjoy the lectures from the video as they stick more to me. The lesson notes however are sometimes too redundant but overall its ok.

BigQuery's UI is not that great, also a lot of the content felt somewhat repetitive but other than that it was good.
